Traditionally cloudy, this Belgian style "White Ale" is brewed with coriander seed and dried orange peel, producing a beer light in body with a refreshing citrus and spicy aroma. Because this ale is unfiltered it is best enjoyed when chilled and poured into a glass.

Can. Hazy yellow in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Strong aromas of coriander and old fashioned soap. Quite spicy in the mouth as well with London dry gin style botanicals (coriander especially), lemon peel and faint wheat. A bit overspiced for my taste, but a decent effort.

Can. Cloudy, pale golden pour with a small dissipating head. Aroma is sweet, citrus fruit and coriander, but with a sort of warm vanilla note as well. Flavour is quite mild, fairly well balanced but mostly plain citrus with a hint of spice; again a touch of that vanilla, which isnít bad, but a little out of place. A middle-of-the-road witbier, but a little odd with that vanilla-ish flavour.

Can poured into Hoegaarden glass. I guess, according to Dan Ariely, because humans are predictably irrational, the very fact I poured it into the Hoegaarden glass might make me unconsciously and unfairly compare t his to Hoegaarden. Although my irrational mind might also unfairly associate the two in favourable light, too. Whatever the case, I didnít think this was near as good as Hoegaarden. Yellow body, fizzy white head, not much lacing.I found the aroma quite faint, sweet a little bit of spice. Taste was sweet wheat, but again quite subdued, a touch of a watery finish. Not spectacular.

One of the better wit biers Iíve had in awhile. Nice sweet wheat and candied citrus aromas. Sweet citrus and warm spice flavours. Crisp and refreshing. Great summer beverage.

Draught @ Chambar, Vancouver. Light hazy orange, finely bubbled white head. Light fruit and wood smoke nose. Light and subtle flavour; orange peel, tea bitter. Nicely crisp & dry.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours light gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is citrus and arguably coriander. Med minus body. Flavor is rather weak. Not much zest, and not much spice. Spice does tend to build up over time. Maybe lawnmower beer?

Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma of oranges, citrus, coriander and wheat malts. Taste is a nice balance of orange zest, spicy coriander, citrus oranges and wheat. Finishes is dry with and medium high carbonation that makes it crisp and refreshing. Good witbier!

In bottle (Advent calendar); this was OK. Taste of mango, along with lemon and some spice. It was almost bubbly??? OK beer but much better options in this style out there. Would not buy again

(First rater, woohoo!) Visual: Pours unfiltered cloudy pale orange with a huge creamy head, nice retention, some sticky lacing, many clusters of fast activity, sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Nose: bright citrusy banana wheat malts, hints of barnyard. (lvl-7)-pungency Attack: very crisp, fizzy tingly Mid-palate: (lvl-2)-sweetness, (MAIN) wheat malt, banana, light lemon Finish: coriander, ultra-subtle hopped bitterness, banana malt DRY finish. Summary: Decent and drinkable, but it just doesnít leave a lasting impression. Overall itís too dry for me.

Pale, slightly hazy yellow, white foamy head, little retention. Aroma is pleasantly yeasty, with clove, banana, and pineapple hints. Taste is slightly tart, a bit if citrus, with hints of yeasty sweetness coming through, and a clean crisp finish. Carbonation is average, body is light, but a tad thick. Nice light sessionable beer.
