2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 WheatKing (744) - Oak Bay, British Columbia, - NOV 7, 2012Extreme carbonation on the cans we’ve received in the variety pack. Aroma has muffled orange/coriander... even alcohol... but it’s overwhelmed by, I swear, kaffir lime and rose water. I’m not making this up. Which is great until you get to the taste which is absolutely nothing, it’s just tonic water. Mild dryness on the finish. Hmmmmmmmmmm.... nyah.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Boutip (4024) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 17, 2013
Can: Poured a light yellow color ale with light white haze and a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of light coriander and bubblegum wheat malt notes. Taste is dominated by some coriander with some bubblegum wheat malt notes and light orange peel notes. Body is average with good carbonation. Good enough level of complexity with nice refreshing notes.
3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Metalchopz (1785) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 6, 2013
Part of their mixed 6-pack, summer sampler 2013 at the LCBO. Pours a cloudy golden-yellow colour with some particles, here and there. Fizzy white head that disappears quickly enough, and not much lace is left. Big orange nose at first, with other citrus coming alive with time. Medium-bodied and wet mouthfeel to be refreshing for summer. The taste is lighter, but not sweet like I expected. Zest of lemon with just a tad of spices and slight orange juices to balance things out. Nothing too crazy here, but made to pound a few on the patio, as it goes down quickly.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 manisthebeer (106) - squamish, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 1, 2013
first off white ale sounds basic easy drinking and tasty, smell nothing much wheat and carbonation, looks like a mighty good thirst quencher taste is so well done its not a crazy fruit white ale just a nice basic white ale and that is what you taste a nice clean beer with the slightest hint of orange and corriander so well done sometimes basic is the way to go when you brew it like this
3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TheJester (1490) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 29, 2013
355 mL can. Looks the part. Really nice aroma, with both the sweet orange and spicy coriander standing out distinctly. Flavour is a little metallic, unfortunately. Very disappointing, after the aroma.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Alpha10 (114) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 28, 2013
2013/05/28 - Pours a hazy yellow/gold color with a thin white head that vanishes quickly. Aroma is citrus (orange and lemon), spices and yeast. Taste is spicy citrus up front, with a slightly tart aftertaste. Mouthfeel is thin to medium with an effervescent body and a slightly drying finish. A little light for my liking.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DerWeg (1402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 26, 2013
Attractive golden-cloudy ’white’ with white head. Good aromas of sweet lemony citrus and tropical fruit which play into flavours. Some pear and herbal hops also. Palate is spot on for refreshing, light if you were expecting I don’t even know what. A dignified tribute of a Wit that has some CC hop signature, nice.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 probstblueribbon (2418) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 25, 2013
Can in mixed pack from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass. Cloudy bright golden with a fair white head. Packs a big, perfumed coriander punch, bright and lively, lots of spicy citrus, yeasty, lemon peel, I like it. Medium body, moderate effervescence, feels a little light in carbonation. More of that rich, lively, perfumed coriander, nice lemon zest, some yeast, spicy, good; dry with a little bitterness and a pleasant perfumed, citrus finish.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 matt7215 (1969) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 24, 2013
355 ml can from the red racer summer mixed pack purchased at the lcbo. The aroma is mostly citrusy, really lacking the fermentation character of a true wit. The flavour is similar, it’s a nice fruity refreshing wheat ale but its not a wit.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ferris (563) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 30, 2013
Draft - Lemon and yeast and wet cut grass. Cloudy yellow with a thin head. Wheat, heavy on the grains and not as sweet as a typical white. Lots of bread but not overwhelming. I would be hard pressed to call this a typical Wit, but a nice wheat beer nonetheless.
