tiggmtl (4148), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Mar 26, 2008 Mild, sweet grainy aroma with perhaps a touch of chocolate but nothing in the way of smoke. Clear dark brown body is topped by a decent, fine bubbled, tan head that recedes to a partial cover with some light lace. Raisin and plum fruitiness with plenty of dark malt bitterness. Smoke is a suggestion in the aftertaste. Dry medium body with decent carbonation. It’s a pretty good brown ale, but "smoked" and "porter" are both lost on me. Sampled on cask at Dix Xmas Extreme Beer festival 2007.
