On tap at Alibi Room. Pours a clear mahogany with a fine lacing. Aroma of bread, toffee, English malts, and very roasty. Flavour is the same, with hints of peat. Medium bodied, flavourful and rich. Good.

Draft. Pours clear ruby caramel, thin cream head, spotty to poor lacing. Nose is peaty with toffee, tar, caramel, raisin, fig, cigar. Flavours of cigar, spicebox, red candies, orange pekoe, some spice, some honey some molasses. Charming Wee Heavy.

On tap. Dark copper with a nice head. Aroma is almost as good as Quebec home of some of the best Scotch Ales in North America. Nice malt flavour and peat matched with SBV for drinkability.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver Dark amber color, hazy. The aroma is simple, some malt, caramel, roasted nuts. Good body, but lacking of a rounder mouthfeel; nutty and toasted caramel flavor, with a touch of smoke; correct bitterness, with a nutty final. Pleasant, but without excellence, mostly lacking in a better and flavorful malt backbone.

Hazy reddish-amber. Has a sticky caramelly aroma. Smoky, caramelly character. A bit too much carbonation makes it thin in the finish, but there are some good flavours in here.

On tap at The Alibi Room for their 300th Beer Menu, pours a dark caramel / brown with a small beige head. Aroma of toffee, bready English malts, slight peat, dark fruits and some roasted notes. Flavour of subtle peat on top of coffee, caramel malts, bready notes and some candied sugar. Medium body, with a slightly sweet and subtle whiskey-like finish. Very solid.
