Did someone say there is a hop shortage? This beer might be to blame! Lucky Day has a firm upfront bitterness, a soft mid-palate, and a resinous lingering bitterness that is sure to appease any hop lover. This beer is loaded with tropical fruit, citrusy and pungent hop flavor and then heavily dry-hopped to achieve its intoxicating aroma.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2014 Full pour of a super fresh keg - just put on tap! Aroma is passionfruit, mango, pungent dank hops. light floral quality. You can smell the sticky resin. Pours a cloudy light orange with 2-finger eggshell foam. Beautiful retention and rings of lace as the beer goes down. Taste is upfront passionfruit, weeds, grapefruit, orange peel and more dank herbs. Lots of complimentary fruit notes to mix in with the hops. Body is medium with soft carbonation. After taste as plenty of orange peel, grapefruit and mango on the tongue. Overall this beer is best fresh and a lot of variation in reviews probably has to do with the old cans still in circulation. I hope they continue to keep this draft only because each fresh pour beats out any old can. According to Untapp’d this is my 16th check-in, and finally getting around to rating it.

Can from brewery courtesy of Ben.. Thank you! Tropical nuances (mainly ripe pineapple??) with ripe stonefruit, orange and caramel malt nuances. Soft, full, round mouthfeel, with lower carbonation. Very fruit forward flavors of orange, candied citrus rind, pine resin and juniper nuances, with a nice bitterness and good finish of lingering flavors. Solid. Don't serve ice cold, flavors open as it comes up in temp. Wish I could get this locally. Definitely going to visit this brewery while in SLO. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Can - thanks Felipe! Pours crystal clear orange amber with a small off-white head and nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine, tropical notes, passionfruit, caramel. Flavor is a bit sweet at the beginning, lightly bitter and quite tasty. Medium body, resinous mouthfeel.

Pours a crystal clear classic golden color with a well-retaining white head. Attractive and inviting. Grapefruit flesh and onion on the nose. Full-bodied with a wet, filling, satisfying mouthfeel. Big grapefruit with competing pine flavors, with umami depth. Grapefruit bitterness on the finish.

On tap @ the brewery. Clear, blonde color. White head, good lace. Aroma’s: fresh hops, citrus, resin. Flavor is bitter with a hint of acidity. Medium bodied. Finishes pungent bitter. Awesome IPA, at least fresh from the brewery.

The beer poured a wonderful copper color with a fingers worth of an off-white head, that left decent lacing. The aroma was pleasant, showcasing notes of orange rind and pine. The taste followed the aroma with pine, pineapple and tart citrus. The mouth feel was slightly sticky at first but finished dry.
