COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Did someone say there is a hop shortage? This beer might be to blame! Lucky Day has a firm upfront bitterness, a soft mid-palate, and a resinous lingering bitterness that is sure to appease any hop lover. This beer is loaded with tropical fruit, citrusy and pungent hop flavor and then heavily dry-hopped to achieve its intoxicating aroma.

The beer poured a wonderful copper color with a fingers worth of an off-white head, that left decent lacing. The aroma was pleasant, showcasing notes of orange rind and pine. The taste followed the aroma with pine, pineapple and tart citrus. The mouth feel was slightly sticky at first but finished dry.

16 oz can pours a slightly hazy yellow amber color with a lot of frothy head. Mild hop flavors and they linger on afterwards at about the same intensity. A great IPA. Most mildly hopped beers at some point give way to either alcohol harshness or watery blandness. But this keeps it's balance the whole way through.

16oz can. Pours copper amber with a white head. Citrus, tropical notes, pine, grapefruit. A tasty hop forward IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Burnished gold color out of the can with a foamy white head. Nice tangerine and orange citrus hop nose. Caramel and tropical fruit sweetness with strong orange zest, red grapefruit juice and some lemon citrus notes. Nice hoppy IPA, and the abv did not get in the way.

Nice white head of fine foam, golden, orangey in color. Slightly hazy, citrusy, simcoe pine, lightly resinous, bit of honey melon sweetness. Seems fairly strong. medium body, slightly tacky. Deductions for haze, sweetness. No bonus for abundant aroma. Solid but not outstanding.

This gold beer has an amazing aroma of passion fruit. Citrusy but more exotic. Strong hop bite up front which mellows a bit and leaves you with a strong reminder of what you just drank. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wow. Can from a non-descriptive liquor store in Morro Bay. The same store had bombers, out of the cooler, of Stone Enjoy by from September. Thus I wasnít expecting that much from a canned DIPA with no bottled on date. Wow, I was wrong. Pours a light orange to yellow with pillowy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, mango and sweet pineapple. Taste is more tropical fruit forward. Slight bitterness and dryness but enough sweetness and tropical fruit that made this balanced beyond belief. 7.2% is probably a nice number and one that a lot of others are calling just an IPA. Iím glad they didnít ramp this up anymore. This is the best beer Iíve ever had from this brewery that was routinely putting out horrible beer since I was in college 10 years ago.

Had this on draft at central coast taproom in San Luis obispo. Grapefruit and tropical taste. Sweet and fruity. Perfect hops and my wheelhouse IPA. Yum!

16 oz. can. It pours a nice golden orange color with a large, fluffy off white head. The aroma is a bit faint at first, but comes out more as it warms. It has a nice bouquet of florals, dank and tropical fruit with a touch of pine. Really a classic IPA profile, just not as potent as others. Dry toasty malts underneath. The flavor is similar with dry, toasty malt overpowered by solid pine, florals and some noticeable tropical fruit sweetness. It finishes very dry and piney bitter. The flavor is pretty explosive and very tasty. Nice new IPA that Iíd seek out again.

Can thanks to San Diego sister! Look is copper color with off-white head. Good lacing. The nose is straight pineapple. The taste is pineapple and citrus. Finish is dry.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2014 Full pour of a super fresh keg - just put on tap! Aroma is passionfruit, mango, pungent dank hops. light floral quality. You can smell the sticky resin. Pours a cloudy light orange with 2-finger eggshell foam. Beautiful retention and rings of lace as the beer goes down. Taste is upfront passionfruit, weeds, grapefruit, orange peel and more dank herbs. Lots of complimentary fruit notes to mix in with the hops. Body is medium with soft carbonation. After taste as plenty of orange peel, grapefruit and mango on the tongue. Overall this beer is best fresh and a lot of variation in reviews probably has to do with the old cans still in circulation. I hope they continue to keep this draft only because each fresh pour beats out any old can. According to Untappíd this is my 16th check-in, and finally getting around to rating it.
