Golden Glow is a pre-Prohibition style Pale Ale. Golden Glow is an un-filtered ale that is a local favorite. Cascade hops and Northwest grains give this beer its great color.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2013 Orange appereance with a white head with fair lacing. Smell is of Pine and Citrus. A few caramel notes are present but flavor is dominated by Cascades. Reminds me of a boozier SNPA.

Can. Pours crystal clear orange with a medium puffy pale white orange head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is light with citrus, pine and biscuit notes. Flavor follows, just a touch of sweetness, light bitterness overall, some pine and caramel. Lightish body, a bit watery. Not bad.

Full pour at the brewery. Much needed thesis break. Aroma is pretty darn clean with cracker, pale malt, and a whiff of orange peel. The whole thing almost seems sugary after a few attempts to identify it. The beer pours hazy orange that actually does glow when held up to the light. Taste pretty clean with mostly pale malt, and bread bread showing. Lingering tastes of poppy seeds, orange peel, and candied grapefruit show up on the tongue. Definitely not bitter, but he hops lend a fruity flavor. Body is light with medium-high carbonation. A little fizzy at the end back, finishes a little full. Overall a pretty clean and fruity pale ale. Bitterness is absent but the hops lend a nice fruit character to make sure this is not too bland. Nice brew.

Had a taste on tap at the brewery. Solid, if a bit standard. Good west coast hoppiness, light.

Draft @ the brewery. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy citrus aroma. Fruity malty hoppy citrus bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter citrus finish.

Orange in color with a white head. Some orange peel and general citrus hop notes on the nose. Bready malt sweetness, grass, and some pine. A bit bland, though. The flavor is a little bland as well, but okay. Some orange peel, pine, and grassy hops. Bready malt flavor and lightly bitter on the finish.

On tap at the brewery with my bro-in-law Mike. Great off-the-radar brewery. Strong amber pour with off white head. Good bite, but not overpowering roast. Great hoppiness. Nice even pale ale.

Draught at the brewery. Almost opaque stuff; just hazy as hell. Big piney nose and flavor with a modicum of dry, clean malt. Lightly fruity on the whole. Bitter through the finish. Just a dry and hoppy West Coast style pale ale wiht barely any malt to speak of. If the hops were more interesting, I would be more forgiving of the balance issues.

Pours golden with a faint cloudy hue. Aroma is nice citrous crisp hops. Flavour is a burst of zingy citrous hop punch, which is quickly a nice balance of that sweet lemony with biscuity malt, which is characteristic of these West coast pale ales. Very good example of the American Pale Ale and a nice brew.

I don’t know what the rest of these reviewers were drinking, there is no medicinal aftertaste. Yes, it is a little cloudy but within BJCP guidelines for a pale ale. This is a good example of a pale ale.
