4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Papsoe (25129) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 16, 2012
Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Skyview. Label reads: "fourteen fourteen". Pours a cloudy dark brown with a tint of orange and a creamy beige head. Very sweet Bourbon aroma atop the roast. Rich body, lovely roast, some licorice but the Bourbon really has an impact. Gets boozy in the finish. But your classic Bourbon Imperial Stout. 160612

Thanks to burg326 for sharing this one around. Cheers, Adam! Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Nose is bourbon, chocolate, dark chocolate, vanilla, and wood. Flavor is similar to nose roasted malts, some mild coffee and bitterness, but big barrel and big chocolate. Medium in body and lingering chocolate and booze in the finish.

On tap at Burnhearts. Dark brown with a creamy tan head that sticks. Rich aroma of dark malts, coffee, bourbon, peat, coffee and notes of molasses. Taste of chocolate, coffee, alcohol, bourbon, brown sugar with a sweet and hot finish. The bourbon accents the stout nicely, nice effort!

22. Thanks b! Pours jet black with a short lived dark tan head. Huge chocolatey nose, smells lile really haute gourmet hot chocolate. Creamy thick chalky body with light carb. Chocolate and roast on the mid palate. Doesnt show the barrel too much, aside from the smoothness of the.body. Long chocolate finish.

Huge thanks to someone for sharing this in line at Dark Lord Day 2012. Served in a taster glass.
Pours near-black with a nice mocha head and some spots of lacing as it falls to a thin collar. The nose is unbelievable with loads of fresh vanilla and a bit of oak alongside smooth bourbon and a bit of chocolate. The flavor falls off from there with the bourbon taking over alongside a fair amount of booze. Heavy body with low carbonation. Nose was killer.

Shared a 22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a small light brown head. Aroma was roasted malts, vanilla, touch of brown sugar. Flavor was a nice bourbon, vanilla, brown sugar, concoction. The sweet characters of it helped to mask a bit of the alcohol burn that lingered at the end, but was still surprised to find out that it was 11% ABV. Very good!
