12oz bottle, 2011 edition, courtesy of CHI tasting group 09/2013 thanks, shared 07/2014. Upfront crowd pleasing aromas of butterscotch, with an extra layer of creamy Wisconsin butter, caramel, chocolate sundae, vanilla, coffee. Taste introduces some of the mellow bourbon notes, Wiener mélange. All-round smooth and easy drinking with no trace of abv.

12 oz bottle shared by Huhzubendah, thanks Matt! Pours a clear dark brown/near black with an uneven beige head that quickly fades. Aroma is chocolate malt, oak, vanilla. Flavor is caramel, malt, oak, and mild chocolate complexity. Medium bodied, full carbonation, sweet caramel finish.

The beer is dark brown with a flimsy beige head. The aroma brings bourbon, malt, brown bread, butterscotch, chocolate, oak, booze. Similar flavor with a delicate, silky feel on the palate. Light touch of butter. Rich and robust. A hint of oak in the finish. Really tasty.

Bottle bought in Chicago in March. A good Bourbon Barrel stout, but not elite. The pour is cola brown with a nice bourbon and roasted malt aroma. Like all BB stouts, I get bourbon, oak, roasted malts and some vanilla. But as good as these flavors are, I still get some roughness at the end and the body is a little thin. Enjoyable overall.

Bottle. Aroma is booze, molasses, brown sugar, and oak. Creamy delicious body with, raisin oatmeal cookie, milk chocolate, toasted grain, cinnamon, super deliciousness. This beer is very well balanced and while not hiding the booze, it layers it in to the fold. Awesome.

A waft of bourbon and ethanol bursted forth trough the sweet malt. A smooth palate with a nice and loose espresso colored head. The flavor is bourbon oatmeal and raisin cookies. Clean finish and is great even at a cool room temperature. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a small tan head. Nose is roast, malt, bourbon, oak, vanilla, chocolate. Flavor follows but isn’t as nicely balanced as BCBS, which is similar; a bit on the sweet side. Smooth mouthfeel but slightly watery. Good but not great.

Shared a 16 oz. growler. Pours very dark. Drank from wine glass slightly below room temperature. Very nice aroma. Chacolate, vanilla, caramel, coffee and of course a hint of bourbon. Excellent dessert beer. Cheers
