Pours black with a slight red highlight, no head. Nose is prominent bourbon, oak barrel, vanilla. Taste is charred wood, barrel, lots of sweet vanilla, a long chocolatey roasty note in the middle, boozy bourbon and alcohol burn on the finish. Sweet, no coffee to bitter it but the barrel rounds out the notes. Very smooth and creamy. A bit too boozy for only 9.5%. Very good, not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. The pour is more of a brownish black with a smaller light tan head that fades down quickly leaving a decent lace. The aromas are not as complex as I'd like them to be. There is a heavy whiskey punch in the front end and a light bit of licorice and cocoa falling through that. It smells like it'll be really light. The flavor is a little better. There is a bit more complexity with a roasted malt and licorice to with a little bit of bourbon and a decent vanilla flavor. The mouth feel is really thin and almost watery. There is a light carbonation and there isn't a whole lot helping it. The aftertaste is quick-vanishing and roasty. Decent imperial stout ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to glass. Pours a deep brown to black color with a thin rim of light brown head. Aroma is bourbon, roasted malts, oak, vanilla. Flavor is slightly astringent, burnt malts, coffee, vanilla. Medium body with a lingering sweet burnt character. Excellent beer!

CW knock it out of the park here with a very well done BB stout. Their rendering of the style is something of a lighter option than many of its’ contemporaries. Pours a nice dark color with a sweet boozy nose. Relatively easy sipping - the body is not cloying or syrupy, though a little stickiness is evident. There is a smoothness here that interests me to age a couple bottles for a year to see how it blends. Class.

Bottle thanks to Ryan at ccb. Pours black with little mocha head. Aroma is a little oak and a little bourbon. The oak takes over in the taste. A little bourbon in the back end maybe. Pretty good overall. I like it.

Another solid bourbon stout. I hate to say it but most of them taste similar. Very smooth to drink and very vanillas on flavor. Had this one at home. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle. Thanks Keith! Pours black with a decent tan head. Nice aroma of malt, chocolate, and bourbon. Taste is roasted malt, dark chocolate, bourbon, and some coffee. Very well made. Wish this was available where I live.

Thanks to Hammy78 for this one! Pours a dark brown with almost no head except for a small ring and some lacing. Nose is of big old bourbon, caramel, chocolate and vanilla. It feels really rich. Taste is sweet, boozy and again features coconut bourbon, caramel and chocolate. Body is medium, mouthfeel surprisingly thinner than I think it should be and carbonation moderate. I really enjoyed this one, makes me curious to try other CW "Brewer’s Reserve" offerings.
