Bottled (Thanks heemer77). Rubyish brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is roasted malts, vanilla, chocolate, ryebread and a bit barrel hints. Flavour is vanilla, alcohol, spices, some bourbony hints. Still a bit empty in my opinion. Hides the 9.5% well.
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 20, 2004
Bottled, thanks cquiroga!
Black, small head. Oak and vanilla up front. The malt character is rounded, chocolatey and roasty. Loads of licorice in the finish. The cask character doesn’t go over board, and accompanies the other flavours well.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - MAR 15, 2006
Dark brown color; thin head. The aroma, quite strong, has mature sweet vanilla and old wood, tobacco. The flavor is dominated by this bourbon vanilla cask, even if ends with more roasted malt and bitterness (and a hint of coffee); alcohol perception, burning. Good but too much monodimensional.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 bu11zeye (10165) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 31, 2004
(Bottle) Pours black with a thin off-white head. Aroma of coffee, licorice, vanilla, rich dark chocolate, and woodiness. Flavor of chocolate, vanilla, and roasted coffee. Light, fluffy on the tongue (similar to a Westy 12). Bitter and dry palate. Very nice balance and complexity.
Tad, thank you so much for sharing your bottle!!! You da man!!!
