A reddish cousin to English pale ales, only slightly sweeter. This is a malty, yet lightly hopped beer that is light bodied as well - it would make any Irishman come back for another.

Reddish amber color, dusty off-white head with a creamy ring. Aroma is sort of a raw, dry grainy predominance... along with some sweet brown sugary backing. Taste is quite the same... maybe just some slight sour-ish hops in there. Its pretty good drinking.

Yeasty, caramel aroma, light and bready. Bright copper with a tall and rocky off white head. Caramel flavor with some minerals in the finish. The caramel almost has a roasted flavor to it. I notice some grassy hops in the finish. Medium to light body. Thanks to Jcapriotti for the bottle.

Purchased in Madison from the 2005 batch. The body is clear and relatively dark amber. The aroma is a little bit of tart apple. I am having trouble getting any more aroma. The taste has a little oak and some sweet Jonathon apples. There is also a little bit of saltine cracker without the salt. A nice light red ale.

A distinct balance between a dry and wet mouthfel is the most striking part of this beer’s character. The balance is superb, not too dry, not too wet. Soft malt with apricots and toffee (maybe...nougat?) is the main taste, but it’s not terribly interesting or complex.

Virtually non-existant aroma, I could not detect anything, taste however was light malt carmel, distinct agreeable pleasant. Aftertaste had a nice carmel nut taste. This may have been old or new beer

dark brown/amber, not really red. malty yeasty aroma, not much hops. kind of nutty, i think i taste pistachio in there somehow. malty body, good thickness. finishes a little bitter, not much aftertaste. definitely a drinkable beer!

Hazy copper body, not much head. The aroma has lots of caramel and apple fruitiness. Big malty flavor, mostly caramel and butterscotch. Smooth finish has some nutty bitterness.

Hazed copper color with a billowing pillow of beige small bubbles. Fig and lightly toasted malt aromas. Smooth liquid feel. Malt richness abounds. Toast and butterscotch flavors. Nothing real complex, but long and lasting flavors. Light nutty finish.
