Bottle via Matty and mark. Pours a hazy blond with faint white head. Aroma is vinegar and some musky cherry’s. Funk for sure here. Taste is slight cherry up front and some funkiness. The sourness is super on this one. Overall this is pretty good.

Draft at Devil’s Den in Philadelphia, PA. Pours a dark golden amber color with ruby edges and a half finger off-white head that quickly fades.  Minimal spots of lace left behind. Earthy, funky aroma with tart, vinous fruit, earthy, funky bugs, toasted oak and acetic solvent.  A bit more acetic solvent character than I prefer taking away from the other notes a bit but there’s still some sweet vinous fruit and a decent barrel character. On the thinner end of medium bodied with tart, puckering mouthfeel that’s slightly acetic but not overly harsh.  Decent barrel character with toasted oak and vanilla followed by tart, vinous dark fruit and acetic vinegary funk.  Slightly lactic with a nice amount of puckering sourness but it’s a bit more acetic/solvent like than I prefer.  The dark fruit notes adds some needed sweetness but it could use some more balance.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity spicy yeasty sour cherry aroma. Fruity sour tart flavor with weak hints of cherries. Has a fruity sour tart citrus finish.

Poured from bottle into a tulip. Pours a good dark red color with a small head. Very good flemish red aromas of sour cherries, some funk and tart citrus notes as well. Good depth with a very good medium feel and flavors of sour cherries and a good amount of tart tones as well. Finishes off nice and dry. This is a real good flemish red. Nice and tart with good flavors and aromas.

Bottle through trade. Pour has a red amber color and a thin film of white head covering the surface. Aroma has medium acidity, tart cherry, a bit of oak, and some yeast. Mouth feel is light but the carbonation is extremely low. Flavor centers around the sourness, tart cherry, oak, yeast, and has a fairly long drying finish. Nothing pops in this one with the cherry getting drowned out by the acidity and the low carbonation not helping either.

Thanks, Mark! The pour is orange with a tall white head. Strong cherry aroma, but also a weird salty note. Some oak, a bit of pineapple, straw, and lemon. The flavor is highly acidic. The cherry character is not quite as pronounced. Mild red wine vinegar, leather, and some citric acidity. Very simnple, but good.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small off white head. Aroma is fruity, light toasted and peachy to light grapefruity. Citric, fruity and tart. Smooth fruity and crisp into a smooth tart finish.

On tap, pours cloudy red with no head/lacing. Aromas and taste of french oak, sour cherries, vanilla, lacto, leather, cherries and lemons. Salivating sour that was hard to stop drinking.

Bottle. Two different pours. First is super clear, and the second is cloudy. the color is a nice copper/bronze with a minimal head. Slightly carbonated, but this could use a touch more. Slight cherry aroma, but this has more vinegar and tartness going on. Taste is cherry and loads of acidity. Balls, this is good. Maybe slightly undercarbonated. I dig this.

Brought this bottle to a sour tasting. Pours a pale orange in color with no carbonation. Smells acidic, some cherry, general lactic sourness. Pretty sour, light cherry, almost abrasive sourness. Light mouthfeel, light carbonation, almost flat, medium finish. Run of the mill sour, it’s tasty but not really a standout. Good first effort, I think they can definitely build on this.
