JohnnyOS (610), Golden, Wisconsin, USA Feb 16, 2007 Pours dark with very nice malted coffee hop aroma... good caramel accents. Flavor matches perfectly. Very good! muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Nov 26, 2006 Draught pint at the brewpub, early October 2006. Small white head diminishes instantly atop the translucent brown-black body....massive java nose, rather creamy and soft but entrancing, hints of caramel malt moderate the coffee; not complex at all but lovely nonetheless....body is well-balanced between dark coffee roastiness, burnt grains and sugary creme brulee-caramel.....smooth, very light but never watery....long, long finish. The_Beer_God (2804), Newport News, Virginia, USA Oct 29, 2006 GABF 2006. Bronze bodied. Small tanned head. Nose is coffee, dark, bittersweet chocolate and roasty malts. Pretty typical. Taste is more of the same stuff. Coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted malts. Think some cold, but sweetened and sugared, dark coffee. Body is light-medium. There’s some moderate carbonation. Ends with more coffee and choco notes. Not a bad coffee beer. hopscotch (4386), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Oct 9, 2006 Draft... GABF ’06... Dark, clear, burnt orange brew with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma and flavor are of strong coffee and chocolate. The flavor is also tangy and a touch thin. Almost medium-bodied and astringent with lively carbonation. Big coffee, dry finish. MIBRomeo (1845), Wisconsin, USA Oct 2, 2006 Dark pour hints of ruby in it under a nice tan head. Light coffee and chocolate aroma (pretty light all together). Avg pal. Very mellow flavor chocolates and hints of coffee.
