Pour is lightly hazed deep reddish amber with a thin but very dense and sticky light brown head...smell is citrus and fruity with some faint floral notes....taste is caramel sweet at first, turning nicely grapefruit and soapy bitter toward the finish....this is much better than the ratings indicate...nice lingering bitter flavor...

Pours a copper color with a large frothy off-white head, which fades quickly and leaves a bit of bubbly lacing. Aroma is floral, a bit of citrus, and some piney hops. Taste is about the same with a balance of malts. Not too bad.....could be an all right staple IPA.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2008 Pours a rich copper color with think frothy head. Aroma is of citrus and floral hops. Nothing really strong or forthcoming in the aroma, but itís an IPA aroma nonetheless. Taste is floral and piney hops with a nice malt backbone. Palate is a bit astringent but itís overall enjoyable and easy to knock back.

12oz bottle. Pours hazy burnt orange with white head. Aroma is floral hops, citrus, pine and some malt. Flavor is hops, citurs and some caramel malts. Finishes dry and bitter with thick mouthfeel. Not a bad IPA but nothing great either. A nice brew to enjoy on a hot summer day.

Good. Brown color and a short white head. Mild hop aroma. There is bread and medium-bitter hops, with citrus and pine. Medium palate. Good, mild burn from the hops.

Things starts off great with this one as it pours a deep, mostly clear golden amber with bubbles rushing quickly to the top. The head retention is fantastic and leaves massive sheets of lacing. It’s a damn good-looking beer. The aroma is pretty muted but good with piny hops up front with a hint of citrus as well. There is a sweet malt aroma in the background as well, with hints of caramel. The taste follows the aroma and has citrus hops up front with grapefruit and some grassy hop flavors up front. The malt backbone makes an appearance before a big, slightly harsh pine bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is relatively full bodied with tons of carbonation and a dry, almost too bitter, finish. This is a decent, though not extremely complex IPA that makes for a good sessionable summer brew.

Lots of floral and citrus hops on the nose, so the disappointment in the lack of hops in the flavor was huge. Got my hopes up big time. Still, not bad.

Sampled from bottle: pours a clear but dark copper colour with a faint but noticeable tan head. Aromas of citrusy hops, carmel and ginger. Taste is of astringent hops, citrus fruit- particularly grapefruit, limes and tangerine.

Pours a dark and hazy burnt orange color with a well retained, frothy, beige colored head. Swaths of sticky lacing coat the glass in jagged ring and flare patterns. The aroma shows caramel and toffee malts, glazed biscuit, cream, and citrus and pine hops. There is also a weird vegetal note that I canít identify, but it seems out of place. Flavors include big crystal malts, caramel, and buttery toffee, with a substantial citrus hop billing lending bittering balance. Medium bodied and chalky, with balanced carbonation. Overall, this is a decent brew, but something just seemed to be a bit "off" throughout.

12 oz bottle

Perhaps the replacement for an older IPA this is a nice addition to the Central Waters line. I hope it becomes a regular so that people can enjoy it either through purchase or trade. As with virtually every bottle from a great brewery this doesn’t disappoint at all.

Aroma / Appearance - A huge two finger head soon settled down. As it did the copper body rose in the pint glass. The nose was that of a classic IPA - yeasty with freshly cut grass in the foreground. Everything is neatly balanced to give it a solid profile.

Flavor / Palate - The mouthfeel was chewier than I expected which was a nice discovery. Orange, grass and a bit of resin trace a transformation from smooth to bitter. Exceptionally sessionable it would not be hard to tackle a six pack of this over the course of an evening.
