Holy fucking sediment, there are large black chunks floating around in my beer. Seriously, what the fuck is floating in my beer? This isn’t the usual small sediment, these are huge dirt like black chunks. Anyway. Flavor is well balanced with a sweet thick malt base followed by mellow hop presence. Thick and chewy on the palate, not a bad IPA at all. eaglefan538 (2360), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 23, 2009 Bottle from the generous, Bockyhorsey! Pour was full orangey to just short of copper, huge-mongo head that started with a gusher when opening the bottle (a gusher, infection fears). The aroma was caramel malts, tea bags, some light floral notes. The flavor followed the aroma, tea bags, caramel, and some spicey malts. Mouthfeel was firm malty with a bitter punch in the finish, but the hops weren’t big enough to impress. Another big thanks to Bill for scoring me another brew! | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 11, 2009 Bottle thanks to msante79 Opaque orange with a thin white head. Sweet nose with a lot of caramel, some grapefruit and citrus. Flavor is similarly sweet but very juicy with heavy citrus and fruit, lots of malt to balance out any bitterness. Not incredibly complex or hop heavy, but enjoyable. cbkschubert (1968), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
