brewmaster55 (48), , Wisconsin, USA Feb 13, 2009 A good IPA with a decent balance of hops and malts. Better than I was expecting, but certainly not the best IPA around either. satan165 (541), River Grove, Illinois, USA Feb 6, 2009 aroma and flavor of earthy, organic hops without any citrus nonsense. meaty and substantial. nice to see a small brewery put some effort into the hop bill, not bad at all. Merrill (74), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 4, 2009 Amber - darker than many IPAs. White head that stacks then gets out of the way. Spicey hop aroma with slight citrus and grass perhaps just a bit of vanilla. Very big hop charge with a milky quality to the malt - nearly unbalanced by the strong hop flair. Better than some "just a lot of hops" attempts by smaller brewers. IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Feb 1, 2009 Golden pour with nice white head. Nice citrus hoppy aroma with grapefruit. Very smooth hoppy flavor with a light bit of grass mixed in. Very well blended brew. I liked. mcjay (301), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA Jan 4, 2009 Cloudy amber color with a rocky off white head. MIld floral hop aroma. Very hoppy but very drinkable. Not harsh like some other pale ales out there. Hints of pine and a little malt. durhambeer (1186), Durham, USA Dec 16, 2008 Bottle smuggled by my friend Tony. Dark orange color with medium white head. Pine and malt with decent citrus. Not nearly as resinous as some of the other descriptions made me think it would be. Very pleasant and drinkable. nuplastikk (1159), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Dec 5, 2008 12oz bottle. Deep cloudy orange brown color. Great malty sweet piny, slightly astringent hop aroma. Thick half inch head. Big malt and hop profile. Piny and resinous hop taste, which works quite well with the moderate ABV. Full of flavor and very drinkable, this is my kind of IPA. HonkeyBra (1264), Lemont, Illinois, USA Nov 19, 2008 From the girlfriend. Yeah, this is pretty good. Pours deep amber with a thin white head. Hoppy nose. Flavor is mild fruitiness with slight bitterness. Wish it were stronger, but oh well.
