Beerfest in Chilton. Smash! "Liberally hopped" is accurate. Hops aroma, hops flavor, this is a good one for hopheads, which I masquerade as. Golden yellow color.

Amber color. Smell of hops, grains, malt, pine and citrus. Taste of floral, citrus, caramel, pine, malt and hops. Very refreshing. Add more hops and its a 4!

Subtle, inscrutable. The balance between the malt, hops, pine, carmel, and zesty citrus flavors is impressive. No slegehammer, but dry. Crisp yet somehow a funky grass note. Medium body and carbonation, accessible ale. A faint sneaky pair fruit note. Fitting name.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Lightly hazed orange ale with a mid-sized, frothy, off-white head. Lengthy, creamy retention. The aroma is a churning eddy of malty aromas... brown sugar, caramel, praline and toffee with some type of mystery fruit working its way into the mix. Full-bodied with a chewy mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. The sturdy malt backbone (and there is certainly one provided here) is needed to even attempt to balance-out the acrid and bitter plethora of hops thrown into the boil. Finishes bitter and then dry. A malt head’s IPA! World class, under appreciated brew! Kudos to pepsican for shipping this liquid happiness to me!

Pours clear dark golden with bronze highlights. Off-white head with sweeter fruit aroma. Flavored with pine and citrus with some sweet and semi-sweet notes.

Bottled. Poured medium orange with a short-lived off-white head and lots of particles suspended in there. The aroma picked up sweet grapefruit and redder fruits with caramel and toffee backing.. soft and nicely balanced. The flavor was sweeter with plums and grapefruit represented.. moderate pine and citric bitterness around.. lots of sweetness overall with only somewhat complementary bitterness. Grainy and medium-bodied on the palate with OK balance.. quite bitter right at the end in a raw, unfocused way.. just OK.

Pours a transparent dark golden bronze with a clingy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of fresh resiny citrusy grapefruity hops and a touch of sweet toasty caramel malt. Body starts with about average fullness and some mild sweetness, quickly drying out before a grainy toasty malt bittersweet finish. Could use a little more sweetness for balance but has a nice hop profile.

Pours a deep caramel amber with a large beige head and some lacing. Aroma is medium sweet malt with some grapefruit, cherry and pine. The flavor is much more subdued but does show some caramel and NW American hops. A little on the malty side for the style but does have wonderful balance overall as a beer. Lively carbonation, sticky texture. Finishes somewhat short and bitter.
