| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 30, 2008 Bottle... This beer rocks!... Lightly hazed orange ale with a mid-sized, frothy, off-white head. Lengthy, creamy retention. The aroma is a churning eddy of malty aromas... brown sugar, caramel, praline and toffee with some type of mystery fruit working its way into the mix. Full-bodied with a chewy mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. The sturdy malt backbone (and there is certainly one provided here) is needed to even attempt to balance-out the acrid and bitter plethora of hops thrown into the boil. Finishes bitter and then dry. A malt head’s IPA! World class, under appreciated brew! Kudos to pepsican for shipping this liquid happiness to me! CaptainCougar (5431), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2008 Pours a transparent dark golden bronze with a clingy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of fresh resiny citrusy grapefruity hops and a touch of sweet toasty caramel malt. Body starts with about average fullness and some mild sweetness, quickly drying out before a grainy toasty malt bittersweet finish. Could use a little more sweetness for balance but has a nice hop profile. JPDIPSO (4900), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 1, 2008 Lightly hazed coper color with a moderate light ecru head. Fresh green hops aroma, perhaps a bit grassy. Light malt and caramel in the backdrop. Heavy sheet of lace. Fairly thin in the start, without much sweetness of malt depth. Quite dry throughout. Mild pine and citric zest bitterness in the middle. Finish has a little return of lightly toasted malt. A mid echelon IPA. No faults, but nothing real exciting either. heemer77 (4303), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The body was medium copper with an off white head. The aroma was sweet cake donuts and black cherries. There was also some oranges, but it’s behind the sweetnes. The taste was grapefruit and bitter bread crust, more of what I was expecting. A decent IPA, but a little bit of a miss form Central Waters. BBB63 (4228), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Bottle and served in GI IPA tulip: Coppery hue with a big fluffy off-white head which left excellent lacing, yep it is bottle conditioned alright, lots of floaties in my pour. The aroma heavy juicy fruit gum, lots of citric notes as well as grassy and herbal vapours, biscuity and caramel malts, and a hint of mineral water. The taste is not nearly as hoppy as the nose let on, much more in balance of acidic fruity hops and sweet malts. Minor peppery hop spice finish. The mouth feel is lively and crisp, good body for style and a tad chewy with the floaties. All in all it is a solid IPA for sure Skyview (4022), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 5, 2008 On draught at both the brewpub in Marshield and brewery taproom in Amherst, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden amber brew with a creamy white head that has some nice retention and sticky lacing. Aroma of dry bitterness, leafy hops, some powdered chemical bitterness with some light multi-grain malt. Taste is dry hopped character, medium bodied with flavors of dry hop character, some caramel malt and even a touch o f barn yard funk. Taste is mildly bitter but not as over the top the old Lac duBay IPA.
