This crisp, zesty American Pale is characterized by the sharp bitterness missing in many domestic pale ales. The clean finish and slight fruity notes help make our flagship brew a delightful treat.

Got this one as part of the sampler at the brewpub in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Not particularly bitter for a pale, but pretty good beer. Dark yellow pour with a thin head, light nose of lemon and flowers, mild bitterness and hoppiness. Okay.

12oz bottle. ~10mo old bottle. Wildflower honey and orange in the aroma along with a little biscuit. Smells great. Hazy copper color with a small, but pretty, off-white head. Taste is resiny and bitter with citrus and light pine. The malt shows itself briefly, near the end, but the finish is all hops and hops bitterness. I wonder what this is like fresh, probably a good old Wisconsin Hop Bomb similar to Ale Asylum’s Hopalicious.

Bottle from non ratebeer friend Jason...a special surprise that I didn’t even ask for. Thanks JT. Pour is orange golden with a sufficient sized head. Aroma is fruity. Apples, pears, and as the last rater mentioned, cereal like notes. This is a solid tasting brew. I’m impressed by my first central water brew. I’m looking to sample some more in the future.

Light orange color, HUGE stationary head (I think this one got a double shot of the CO2) that remained for the entire brew, some lacing. Aroma is apples, pears, and a cheerio like aroma. Sweet malt and citrus are the dominating flavors although a little spice is also present. Decent carbonation, thin bodied. A solid APA.

This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.

Pale golden color. Great lacing. No head. Dank hops in the aroma. Taste is very hoppy. No citrus but lots of grass and pine. Very easy drink. I liked this one and could make it an all day session-er.

Pours a lighter reddish orange. No head. Aroma of malt, and light citrus hop notes. Flavor is strong and dominated by hops. Piney hops. Palate is thin overall. A decent brew.

nose of light resin. appearance is strictly blonde. flavor is of pine and well bittered for the style. excellent malt background comes to light late in the game. hard to distinguish such balance and still have good hop character in an APA, so many fail. palate is thin and nearly watery. overall hops are prevelant enough as described in the commercial description (addressing a gripe i have verbalized before) but palate seems to fail. still quite drinkable.

Very light, mild citrus aroma. Golden, carbonated with white head. Citrus, sour fruit (apricot?) and metallic flavor notes. Lack of hop notes; watery with mild bitter finish.

Originally reviewed: 12/27/09. Poured into a mug. Pours a clear dark orange with a thin off-white head on top. Retention was lacking. Left very little lace. Scents of earthy hops, light orange, and biscuits. Full crisp body. Flavor was a little harsh and overly spicy. Bitterness was lingering and charring. This wasn’t the best representation of the style. It was decent, just not my thing.
