This crisp, zesty American Pale is characterized by the sharp bitterness missing in many domestic pale ales. The clean finish and slight fruity notes help make our flagship brew a delightful treat.

Draught Hill Top - Stevens Point, WI: slightly hazed amber with a thin white head that leaves thin icing on the sides of the pint glass. Piney hop aroma that is just right for a good APA. Flavour is well rounded with a solid malt bill, good hop presence and a lingering bitterness, all delivered on a well carbonated and lively palate. An above average pale, from a previously unknown brewery to me, time to try some more.

Transparent and pale brass with magnifying clarity and a fluffy tan head riding half an inch tall. Kettle corn and copper kettles meet honey and ginger sugared grapefruit and freesia scented dryer sheets. Husky green qualities aromatically call out grass stains. Formidable bitterness blends with flavors of apricots and clementines with a gritty, grainy oat backdrop. Fulfilling balance catches pollinating dandelions on a nectar laced deer lick. Talc-like feel on the mouth in a powdery nougat sense with well supported carbonation that lets the golden maize cascade medley play out. Finish brings out butter cookies crumbling in the mouth and a hint of Karo sweetener. Very enjoyable.

Pretty good beer. Poured a nice foamy head and lots of lace. Hazy light amber color. Light hop aroma with lots of toffee, malty character. Fine carbonatioin. Mouth filling. Flavor is same as nose and more fulfilling. Great session beer.

Orange with a white head. Aroma has a nice hops profile, floral, pine, light sweet citrus. Medium body. Flavor is full of hop goodness. Floral, citrus, light pine, and a bit of background sweet malts. Finish has a bit of a hard hop bite. Real nice Pale.

Pour a very clean orange/amber color with a solid frothy, white head on top. Aroma has a very inviting orange and light grapefruit citrus with some light pine presence at the tail end. Flavor has an overall solid bitterness but very well balanced by the light sweetness. Notes of grapefruit, orange, pine abound with a great light toasted malt note to compliment the continuing grapefruit acidity that follows the tasting. Mouthfeel is pretty lively with very fine carbonation providing a sharpness to the slight crispness felt in the body. Overall a fantastic example of an APA. Not overly bitter and really allows the flavors of the hops to shine. I honestly LOVE the grapefruit acidity tasted in this beer.

Aroma is malt with a hint of citrus hops. Taste is smooth and orange citrus with a bitter finish. Palate is a touch oily meaty (just a touch, it is only a pale ale). Overall very impressed with this full flavoured APA. Cheers. One of my favourite styles.

12 oz. bottle. Pours hazy bright orange with a soft creamy foamy white head that fades to a film and subtle lacing. Aroma has sweet herbal/caramel malt and a very subtle lemon citrus hop scent. Taste is bitter hops and bright lemon citrus notes with a nice balance of herbal caramel malt. palate is medium and crisp with a chalky dry finish. Very nice!

Bottle thanks to a mysterious stranger! Lightish amber colored. Decent off-white head. Citrus aroma with little hints of malt. Light-medium bodied. Nice mixing of malt and hop with the hops slowly overcoming the malt in the finish. Really pleasant beer and would drink again.

Faint amonia, dishwater aroma. Gold color with no visible carbonation. A ring of white head around edge of glass. Nice, cascade sheet lace. Not much head retention. There’s a definite bitterness; well balanced. A little dry. I would drink this again.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2006 Niffty APA that is light but with lots of flavor. Smooth and not intensely dry or citrusy. A session type drink.
