Pours a clear amber color with a white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrus and pine. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is lightly bitter, muted, some bread and some pine hops, with a light bitter finish. Solid, approachable, but not as good as some other wet hop ales.

22 ounce bottle
Thanks to cbfobes for sending this as part of a recent trade. I can’t wait to try the version from Lakefront as a contrast in the near future. Drinkable and with a fresh bitterness it brings interest to a cold winter evening.
Aroma / Appearance - Warm caramel colored liquid pours easily into the glass. An ivory head falls down like melting snow. Grapefruit, watermelon, and grassy hops brighten the air. Orange glaze tops off an inviting beer.
Flavor / Palate - Watermelon, grass, and woody resin hit the tongue with a single mission. Soon the bitterness rises up like drinking liquified oak trees. Eventually though it settles down into a nice drinking beer. I wish I could their stuff locally.

Bomber. Sugary fruit aroma with some hops. Amber with floating particles. Thin white head. Flavor is just not great. I’ve had probably 50 IPAs that taste like this but few that I’ve paid this much for. Contrary to the aroma, fairly dry. May be lower in alcohol but we don’t know because they didn’t bother to list the ABV on the bottle. Such a pretty bottle too.

22oz bottle from Mars’ Cheese Castle in Kenosha, WI. Pours a somewhat hazed, red-orange colored body with a finger-width, creamy and foamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a soapy lacing. Aroma is floral citruses and a bready caramel malt backing with a light sweetness. Touches of pine and a light herbal spice. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened, bready caramels with a decent floral hopping giving off some grapefruit notes. Finishes dry with a medium-light bitterness as well as a few lightly spiced pines and some doughy caramel. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a foamy, moderate carbonation. Overall, this wasn’t bad, but I was hoping for a lot more. Balanced and easy drinking at least.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lemke10 (540) - Janesville, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Pours a mostly clear golden yellow color with a fluffy head. Has a mild scent of hops and other grassy scents. Flavor is crisp and mildly hoppy. They don’t go overkill with the hops, just enough to give a crisp refreshing taste. Texture is smooth but just a tad too thin for me. The use of Wisconsin grown hops and barley give this APA a different type of taste not easily duplicate with other beers. Finishes crisp with a slight dryness. Something to try once for the Fall season, but that’s about it.

All Wisconsin ingredients coming together for Central Wisconsin’s great brewer. Hops have a nice bitter bite and are the brew’s distinctive characteristic.

Not my favorite style, but I get some pine, citrus and a little grass aroma. Well balanced, not overly hoppy. If you’re expecting an IPA you’ll be disappointed.

Purchased this locally two days ago. It pours easily and forms an average lacy white head which disappears quickly and leaves a small film on the top and a ring around my glass. The color and appearance remind me of clover honey. The hop flavor is not over powering and there is a citrus after taste. I must say I like the bottle. Artwork is printed on the glass.
