Leighton (10419) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2014
Bottle at home in Salisbury - picked up at De Cicco, Brewster. Pours clear, bright golden-orange with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds bready pale malts, tangerine, pine needles, sun-kissed grains. Light sweet flavor with dry, pale malts, crispy hay, slight grass, grain husks, tangerine rind. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty well balanced to finish with more rindy bitterness, understated sweetness, some grass, pleasing citrus. Solid sessioner for sure.

Bottle poured a clear amber with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, mango, earthiness, grapefruit and light dank bud. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, light grapefruit zest and light pine with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

3fourths (7858) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUL 3, 2012
draft at Local Option, Chicago. buzzing acid up front with fresh and light hop cone powder / must. green, fruity and dank hop flavor with low resin. medium-light body, low sweetness / highly dry body with simcoe-like pungency and cattiness late. well made with little noticeable flaws, a refreshing hop character on a light body with firm malt texture.

Dogbrick (7583) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 1, 2012
On draught at Local Option. The beer pours a slightly hazy amber-gold color with a medium fizzy white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Floral hops and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with a zesty citrus character and notes of herbal hops and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent session IPA overall.

2013-08-17. Crisp golden orange body with a small white head. Aroma is mild but has a pleasant muddled hop character with muted mild citrus notes. Flavour is pleasantly bitter, with similar moderate citrusy hops throughout. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Enjoyable and quite quaffable but I’d like a little more oomph all around from the hops. On tap at Campground Brewdown.

Ughsmash (7086) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 27, 2013
Bottled. Poured clear, bright orangey-golden with a short, dense, well-retained white head. The aroma picked up juicy orange, pineapple, and pine hoppage over sweeter caramel notes.. quite nice. The flavor found bitter pine, grassy notes, and citrus over soft biscuity malts.. prickly carbonation and lots of residual bitterness on the long, refreshing finish. Light-medium bodied with fairly filling carbonation.. on the bitter side.. overall a very solid drinker.

Totally rapes the shit out of Founders All Day IPA. This one is FULL of aroma and the flavor is mostly hop bitterness with some citrus rind, no malt in sight.

phaleslu (6204) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 15, 2013
Draft at Greenbush Bar for their Central Waters brunch. Pours a clear golden color with a little bit of an orange hue but also some straw coloring. Small white head. Pine and orange citrus hops, dry cereal grains, a touch of caramel, some florals- a good amount of pronounced notes here for a session APA. Light-bodied, with a bitter, dry mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Nice, easy warm-weather sipper, but with a sneaky bitter punch to it.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bottle. Clear orange pour with a white wispy head. Nice citrus hop bite - some floral hops as well. Not harsh though. Pretty good stuff!

Draft on tap at Local Option (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich hazy stark golden hue, touches of glow throughout with mellow orange fire at parts. A cakey offwhite head sits atop larger and laces ok, sticks around quite well as a firm cake. Aromas are rich florals and lemons, touches of grass, gentle melon, and some grapefruit sneak in. Lemon and floral-centric with a good bitter fresh nose. Some touches of pale malts, bread, biscuits. Fairly vibrant as some orange oils. Initial is pretty light bodied, end of the spectrum with a firm bitterness, rich florals and grass with tons of floral elements, lemons and grass. Firm bitterness, touches of pine, gentle mellow bread, dry and floral soap, bitter dry floral hops preach and stick to the palate. At 4.5 ABV, this baby certainly doesn’t pull the punches with bitterness. Touches of mellow melon and touches of grapefruit, gentle fruity sweetness into the middle and backend. Still starkly dry into the finish gentle kiss of orange, dry bready elements. Wow, this thing is bitterly hopped. Pretty fun and fresh. Grows a touch more as the palate adapts to the bitterness. Solid and dry, zesty with big earthy dryness and bitter hops, kisses of fruit from them in the middle. Nice.
