4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a hazy orange amber with a medium creamy off white head that laced. Aroma of fresh, citrusy American hops. Some floral notes...love the hop aroma on this one. Balanced with some malt in the nose...but can tell just from aroma that this wasn’t going to be one of those too sweet double IPAs. Flavor is right on. Some malt sweetness but a nice citrusy grapefruit flavor. Hop bitterness is perfect for the style. Was worried this was going to be another overly sweet double IPA and it wasn’t!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Well carbonated. Dry hops and a full palate with intense hop flavor. This beer is more focused on the hops and the malt is underneath. Citrus and herbal finish.

Backlog bottle thanks to so many good ratebeerians. The look is clear, thin white head, and golden yellow in color. The smell is citrus, grass, hops, and ok. The taste is a medium bitterness, citrus, fruits, and pine.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours with not much head. Lots of flowery hoppy smell. Great full body flavor. What sticks out to me is there is more to it than bitter hops. Can’t explain it, but my whole tongue us hit worth flavors, not just the sides.

3.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Love this double. Central Waters is definitely one of my favorite breweries. There’s a great cloudy amber color. The bitter hoppiness makes you want more. Definitely always a great choice!

Pours clear, dark ruby reddish amber. Medium white head, partially lasting. Big aroma, lots of hops, lots of malt; caramel, citrus. tropical, pineapple. Medium to full body. Bold hop finish, resiny. Quite nicely balanced and surprisingly very easy drinking. Really nicely put together.

Very hoppy, citrus, malt, caramel, fruity. Tastes extremely hoppy, there’s a hop plant in my mouth! a little dry finish. Citrus. Similar to aroma.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours mostly clear orange with thinner white head. Smell is big orange and grapefruit citrus hops with a mild light sweet malt backing.Taste is more big citrus hops, light sweetness and a noticeable alcohol punch that may be more accentuated by the massive spicy bitterness. Nice double ipa that doesn’t hide the booze greatly, but still doesn’t feel like a 9%er.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Copper colour with a thin white head and clinging lace. Sweet tropical fruit aroma. Malty flavour, sweet fruit and honey. Tangy bitter finish. Alcohol cuts through the sweetness at the end.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep golden pour with a thick white head. The aroma is great - dank hops with a citrus and papaya along with a fairly peppery alcohol nose. Sweet malts but they’re cut quite a bit by herbal/spicy hoppiness. Lean and dry with a long lingering finish. Warming intensifies the hoppiness and brings out a bit of peppery flavour. Lovely.
