Bought this along with Hoptimum, this was far superior. Not saying Hoptimum was bad but this was very very good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
8 ounce draught snifter at Mitchellís Hilltop, Stevens Point WI, August 2nd. Pours a cloudy, not-quite-opaque bright orange, with a bit of wispy head that lasts...citrus (orange and grapefruit) dominates the nose, with a touch of pine resin and a bit of burnt/smoky woodiness...drier than most to the tongue, though some noticeable fruity sweetness sets in around the middle...reasonably strong bitterness throughout, light acidity, generally well-balanced though thereís a bit too much of that woody dryness on the palate, and itís just a might thin and attenuated. Solid enough but certainly nothing special to my tastes.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
pours a slightly murky amber orange with a medium off white head. Outstanding aroma of tropical floral, pineapple, tangerine citrus. Juicy mouth feel. Big citrus taste. Grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple. The 108 IBUís are muted at first, but creep in and take over, but still with a grapefruit citrus twang. Iím a hop bomb lover, and this one is right in my wheelhouse! Love it!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle purchased at Haskellís in St. Paul and consumed with blonderedhead out of a Belgian snifter glass. Pours a hazy, golden orange color with surprisingly little head. Some good piney resin on the nose complementing a malty presence and citrus/tropical fruit. Taste is assertive with hops coming forward initially, a malty backbone taking over in the middle, and a hop bitterness towards the finish. There are elements of caramel, pineapple, floral, and some pine. This definitely falls on the more malty side of double IPAs Iíve tasted. Itís not illuminating anything new in the style but itís definitely drinkable. Iíd consider it pretty run of the mill.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. This beer poured a medium caramel-tan color with a medium sized creamy tan head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweetish pine. The flavor was tangy and sweet pine, resin, a bit of grapefruit and floral hops. Medium length tangy and sweet finish with lingering pine and floral hops. Moderately full bodied.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle from backlog. Pours a hazy orange golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have bigger orange and grapefruit citrus character, some resinous hops, sweet malts, caramel, the thing that gets me is this claims 108 IBUs, but doesnít have much bitterness for an imperial IPA, good, but I like more bitterness pop.
