3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy prown with a yellowish tanned head. Sweet and quite bitter with aromas of caramel and malts. Mellow hoppiness with a bit of floral aromas. Medium bodied. Strong sugary and somewhat bitter finish.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Which hophead would that be? Poured with a great frothy, foamy head and some lace. Head lasted for a while. Interesting dark amber clear color. Picked up some bitterness in the nose and flavor, but not really so hoppy. Big burnt sugar characteristics. Good beer but not so much as an IPA. Wonder why they went with this as an IPA. Having a bottle of this at Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wis. USA.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours copper/brown with a thin off white head. Not much of an aroma, mostly caramel and earthy malt. More malt in the taste, sticky caramel, slight bit of hops. This is smooth, but not a "hophead’s dream"....at least not this hophead. Still, not bad overall.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
No hops. Poured brown with an off white head. Aroma of caramel and chocolate. More of a malt bomb than anything. No hops present. Still wasn’t bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle. Nice combination of English and US hops on the nose. Plenty of wet grass and leaves, but a touch of citrus around a rich, bready malt base. Pours quite dark for an IPA. Looks quite nice actually. Decent head retention and some nice drippy lacing. Sharp, earthy hops at first. A distinctive toffee malt base with just a touch of bread crust. More perfumy and floral hops near the finish. Medium bodied with an earthy dry finish that lasts for quite a while. Thanks Andy!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Super dark for an IPA. Musty, nutty, fruity mild hop aroma. I get some watermelon(?). Big toffee flavor which glides into a mild hop flavor. Fairly bitter. Definitely an English IPA but well done and tasty.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Darker amber than most IPAs, thin off white head. Aroma is very hoppy with some toffee. Flavor is hops, tofee, nuts, citrus, caramel. Finishes bitter with a good amount of carbonation. No hint of the abv. Nice!

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
A fantastic brew from another quality Wisconsin microbrewery. This beer is a traditional English IPA with im guessing Fuggles and East Kent goldings as the bittering and aroma hops. This beer pours a deep amber with a slight golden hue to it. The taste is initially earthy, citrusy, and piney hops giving way to malt only to go right back down the rabbit hole to hops once again. The aroma is easily grassy, earthy, and pine hops with a small amount of what appears to be crystal malt lingering in the background. All around a fantastic version of a classic style.
