drpimento (518), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Apr 22, 2008 Which hophead would that be? Poured with a great frothy, foamy head and some lace. Head lasted for a while. Interesting dark amber clear color. Picked up some bitterness in the nose and flavor, but not really so hoppy. Big burnt sugar characteristics. Good beer but not so much as an IPA. Wonder why they went with this as an IPA. Having a bottle of this at Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wis. USA.
phishpond417 (1459), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Sep 14, 2008 A retired brew? I got the last one at Steve’s in Madison. Pours a hazey bright orange colour with a small off white head. Aroma is fruity, with tropical fruits and noticeable pleasent hop character. Taste is citrusy, astringent- well balanced but with a swift hop kick. Floral with generous amounts of grapefruit and green apple. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA May 25, 2008 Date: 05/22/2008

shp555 (1377), lilburn, Georgia, USA May 24, 2008 Pours a copper color with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, aged hops, toast, and earthy hops. Flavor is malty, toast, biscuit, caramel, and a bitter earthy finish. ChainGangGuy (1602), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA May 23, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clearish, dark amber body with a foamy, off-white head.
Smell: Cinnamon sticks and sugar blended into a scent of grainy malts with a faroff hint of lemon.
Taste: A flavor of toasted grains, but with no real sweetness present. Instead, you’re treated to a fresh spice component tasting of cinnamon and maybe even nutmeg. Again, there’s those grains. Medium-high bitterness. Neutrally flavored finish that just sorta ends.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Okay, at best. Those IPA just didn’t do for me one bit. unclemattie (1621), Georgia, USA May 22, 2008 12oz bottle. Deep amber color. Nice hop aroma. Aged well. Very good carbonation.
