COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Traditional IPA is a hophead's dream. The distinct sharpness of British hops and moderate alchohol are balanced by a dry, malty profile and crisp flavor. The result is a brew as smooth as a sunset paddle on the glassy waters of Lac Du Bay. Seasonal March - October.

A retired brew? I got the last one at Steve’s in Madison. Pours a hazey bright orange colour with a small off white head. Aroma is fruity, with tropical fruits and noticeable pleasent hop character. Taste is citrusy, astringent- well balanced but with a swift hop kick. Floral with generous amounts of grapefruit and green apple.

Bottle:   Now thats a deep and dark caramel colored IPA!   Almost as thick as dirty pond water.   Huge pillowy tannish head, almost appears to be infected.   Very sticky lacing.   Somewhat of a muted candied citrus peel nose, malty, no real hops to speak of.   It also has a bit of candyish perfume to it.   This is one sweetish smelling IPA.   I like it!   A little of that powdery pixie stix like aroma.   Wow, very much muted hops on the tongue.   Lots of candied citrus peel that is really musty.   This has aged well, and almost takes on the characteristics of an aged Strong Ale or Barley Wine.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Has a sweetish citrusy and candyish hop aspect on the finish.   This held up really well, and turned into something I can really appreciate.   I wonder how this would have been fresh?   Thanks Bob for this treat!

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a rocky tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and over ripe fruits, but also with an acidic edge. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle. [Tasting @ Papsoe 20-10-2008] Large creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Cloudy amber color. Aroma of sweet pineapple, apricot, caramel, fruit. Over the palate came bitter floral notes with counter malty sweet fruity and malty notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and mild dry texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor. Lingering bitter dry finish.

Cloudy/hazy orange-amber with a medium off-white slowly retiring head. Aroma of citrus, bread, caramel. Taste of sweet malt, hops, caramel, spice with a medium bitter finish. Seems a little over malted for a true IPA, but who knows, I’m just dreaming about this one it seems. It did hide the alcohol well though.
