The American name for the beer traditionally served at Oktoberfest celebrations in Bavaria. Amber in color, this lager is smooth, malty, and well balanced by German hops.

Bottle: Copper/amber pour with a quick medium off white head. aroma is toasted malt, caramel, flavour is toasted malt, caramel, light to medium sweetness with a nutty/woody balance. Bit lighter bodied than other examples, but clean and well balanced and very sessionable even at 5.5.

Tap at Pizza Luce. Pint glass. Copper, almost amber with a small, but diligent head. Lacing is strong. Aroma is super sweet with hints of caramel. Unfortunately it’s downhill after the initial aroma. Taste leans mostly on malt without much balance. Leaves you.with an almost burnt sugar flavor but some bitter notes too. If.they could bottle the aroma, it would be significantly better.

Bottle. A pretty boring and straightforward "Octoberfest" lager. The flavor was mild, but smooth, easily drinkable but offering little originality or contrast. Some caramel notes, but very subtle. Many better fall beers out there.

Well done, for the boring style of "Octoberfest" beers that come out this time of year. Somewhat earthy yeast aroma upon opening bottle and pouring a thick head of off white foam. A very pleasant sweetness of malt in the first sip with maybe a little hop drying in the finish---very drinkable as all fest beers should be.

Aroma of roasted caramel and some toffee. Orange in color with notes of brown. Thin, light-tan head. Sweet caramel, with some hidden roasted notes. Sweetness continues throught, with a mild bitterness at the end. Pretty straight forward...not much depth. O.K.

More of an average and very drinkable Oktoberfest lager. This one has a lot of malty character with just a bit of hops. Expect mainly bready, roasty flavors on this.

Pours a clear copper with minimal head. The aroma is somewhat subdued, with caramel, bread, and hints of grassy hops and apple. The taste is dominated by maple and caramel, to go along with mild grass and bread. It isn’t complicated, but it tastes alright. Very short maple aftertaste. Light to medium in body, slick in texture, and below average in carbonation. This is one of your more generic Octoberfest beers.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark gold with minimal head. Very typical octoberfest beer, but not as good as many others.

Dark amber with minimal foam. Aroma is sweet caramel and vanilla. Taste is also sweet caramel and vanilla. Almost like a root beer. Very unusual. Nice but not an Octoberfest.

Bottle. Pours a ambery-coppery Marzen color. Nose is malty and toasted bread. Not much in the way of a head, but no worries. Mouth is medium bodied, toasted malt, toasted bread, and well balanced. A quality Oktoberfest from the Bavaria of the US of A. Now, if only I had some weisswurst and mustard...
