4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a cherry amber color with a slight head of foam that leaves some lacing. Scent is that of caramel malts brewed to perfection. A slight nutty scent as well. The taste is rather mild of malts with a bold flavor. A very nice volume beer that drinks well and taste good at the same time. Nothing uber fantastic but you should enjoy drinking this.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Notes of bread, sour tart cherry, and a nice malty finish make this red/amber ale style a nice pour. Great color, too!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Purchased at Evolution Wine & Spirits in Chicago, IL; enjoyed while watching a Monday Night Football Bears game. Appearance is a dark, cloudy amber with a thin but moderate white head that lightly laces to the glass. Aroma of burnt toast, caramel malt, not really much else. Taste goes down with a light bitterness, not really much of a crispness, a little bit of chocolate as well. Not really feeling this one, but itís not too bad.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tried this beer in a sample pack on my way through WI. It produced a soapy beige head on a clear red-brown body. Malts and a touch of herbal hops in the nose. Fruit malts in the flavor with herbal bitter piney notes. Touch of chocolate in the taste was unexpected and not welcome in a scotch ale. Strange metallic taste as well. Might have been a bad bottle.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle to pilsner glass at a hotel. Copper color pour, foamy white head with decent lace. Sweet. Read malt and hop fragrance. Taste is burnt caramel and resinous hops. More flavor than I expected. Quite quenching. Nice.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours amber with about a finger of white head. Aroma of caramel and light floral hops. Taste is light bitter. Floral and pine hops with a little caramel. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. I would drink this one again.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured into a pint glass.
3.5 A: Clear orange amber color. One fingers of frothy white head. Retention is about average and a short ring of lacing is left.
3.0 S: Grainy malts with a light toastiness and a touch of earthy hoppiness. Otherwise, clean without a lot going on.
3.5 T: Like the nose, this is grainy and toasty. A bigger hop presence is found though. Earthy flavor with a moderate bitterness.
3.0 M: Lighter medium to medium body. Upper end of what I want the carbonation to be, but the bigger problem is that itís a bit bity. Otherwise okay.
3.0 D: Solidly average brew. Thatís about all there is to say.
