This smooth amber ale with it's mellow nutty flavor, subtle flowery nose, and delightful malty finish should appeal even to the newest of specialty beer drinkers.Named for the Algonquin word for the Wisconsin River, Ouisconsing Red makes even our neighbors to the south and west "want to be a Badger".

Tap. Nice red color. Toasted malt, caramel backdrop. Nice mouthfeel. Not too hoppy but enough. A good "food beer". Better at room temp than ice cold.

Hazy orange pour with very minimal if non existent head. Aroma is not too strong with hints of malt and caramel but not too much else. Taste is balanced though with a moderate sweetness throughout and a piney finish. Decent beer but I have had better from Central Waters

very pretty looking. Nice bright red. Interesting in the light. taste is subtle. after taste is alright. I like the graphic design. Maybe its just the heron that gets me. what an elegant bird! The bird is growing on me with each sip.

Bottle, poured into pint glass A earthy hoppiness A red orange, quite clear nice small tan head T strong piney resinous bitterness, not really balanced by anything sort of watery P thin bodied with a slight oiliness O not the best red in the world, lacking in complexity ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark clear amber color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting and had good lacing. Good nutty malt aroma. Medium body with smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft brew.

Bottle to taster (shared by alexsdad06). Looks solid; a semi-transparent orangish brown with white lacing. Smells sweet and malty with light floral notes. Tastes like it smells, sans the floral notes. Average on the palate. Okay.

Hazy dark amber color with high carbonation and a foamy head with good lacing. Aroma starts out nutty and caramel with roasted barley, floral hops and munich malts. Flavor starts out with some piney hops, mild toffee & citrus notes, caramel and barley; Dryish resin aftertaste. Body is fairly light but moderately carbonation. Pretty good amber ale.

12 fl oz bottle. (Friar Tuck) Springfield, IL.
Clear amber colour with a big creamy off-white head. Floral hops, mild bitterness, sweet malt and nutty dryness in the aroma. The flavour is moderate bitterness, dry hops, dry nuttiness and darkish maltiness. Balanced but rather boring Amber Ale.
