COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This smooth amber ale with it's mellow nutty flavor, subtle flowery nose, and delightful malty finish should appeal even to the newest of specialty beer drinkers.Named for the Algonquin word for the Wisconsin River, Ouisconsing Red makes even our neighbors to the south and west "want to be a Badger".

From BandC. Full flavored for the strength. Thinnish pallet but works as a session ale. Minerally flavors as well. Mildly hops but it is fine. Serving: Bottle

Slightly hazy copper pour with a 1 finger, creamy beige head that has great retention and leaves some nice lacing. caramel, toast, biscuit and herbal, spicy and floral hops. Flavor is caramel, cereal, woody notes, rustic roasted nuts, bready and fruity yeast, herbal, floral and light spicy hops to the finish. Lightish body, creamy to chewy entry and slightly drier, but still a little chewy, syrupy finish. Decent, well balanced Amber Ale, though if I had to guess the style I would have said Irish Ale.

Pours a reddish amber with minimal head. Very nice biscuity, spicy lager with some surprising fruity aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a cherry amber color with a slight head of foam that leaves some lacing. Scent is that of caramel malts brewed to perfection. A slight nutty scent as well. The taste is rather mild of malts with a bold flavor. A very nice volume beer that drinks well and taste good at the same time. Nothing uber fantastic but you should enjoy drinking this.

Notes of bread, sour tart cherry, and a nice malty finish make this red/amber ale style a nice pour. Great color, too!

Purchased at Evolution Wine & Spirits in Chicago, IL; enjoyed while watching a Monday Night Football Bears game. Appearance is a dark, cloudy amber with a thin but moderate white head that lightly laces to the glass. Aroma of burnt toast, caramel malt, not really much else. Taste goes down with a light bitterness, not really much of a crispness, a little bit of chocolate as well. Not really feeling this one, but it’s not too bad.

Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, toasted malt and a hint of molasses. Palate was medium bodied anbd smooth. Flavors of carmel, toasted malt and lighht earthiness with a smooth lingering carmel finish.

Tried this beer in a sample pack on my way through WI. It produced a soapy beige head on a clear red-brown body. Malts and a touch of herbal hops in the nose. Fruit malts in the flavor with herbal bitter piney notes. Touch of chocolate in the taste was unexpected and not welcome in a scotch ale. Strange metallic taste as well. Might have been a bad bottle.
