pantanap (781), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 27, 2008 gtmw 08...thanks to marc for handing over the majority of his pour for me to try.....poured a dark milk chocolate brown with a thin film of frothy off-white head.... coffee, caramel, and vanilla scents make up the aroma....flavors of coffee, chocolate, toffee with some added roast in the flavor profile. comes off relatively sweet with soft to mild carbonation. BBB63 (3810), La Porte, Indiana, USA Aug 26, 2008 GTMW 2008: Ruby brown hue with a creamy off-white head and very good lace. The aroma has big vanilla and coffee vapours with some hazelnut and over-roasted malt... yep smells like a Starbucks vanilla mocha!
The taste is sweet and boozy with some chocolate bitters, Lush and viscous with a lively edge. A solid brew but seems to need a tad more hop character. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Aug 18, 2008 Name: Peruvian Morning

xmarcnolanx (680), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA Aug 15, 2008 Aroma is wow!
Chocolate, sweet malt, coffee in ass loads, and vanilla.
Taste is bourbon, vanilla, some butter, dark coffee, chocolates.
This is very nice.
Laces well and finishes with a slight sourness.
Ughsmash (3071), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 14, 2008 On tap at GTMW. Poured deep brown with a shorter cap of dark beige head. The aroma picked up deep, well-roasted coffee all the way through with lovely vanilla bean accents.. succulent! The flavor starred well-roasted coffee as well with a sweet vanilla twist.. drier on the edges with dark chocolate and coffee bitterness.. more sour on the back with a long, grainy finish. Medium-plus bodied with an odd building sourness as it progressed.. despite that, still an excellent brew!
