3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aromatics are heavy on coffee. Nice caramel and vanilla espresso coffee notes. Appearance seems thin, and heavily carbonated. Nice and dark with a thin tan head. Taste is complex. Lots of specialty grains in this dark roasted malts and some mild caramalt! Mild vanilla in the taste.Overall I wish this beer had a little more heavy palate and I also wish it had some stronger barrel flavors (still a mighty fine stout).

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Slightly translucent dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is of coffee, some slight booze, and some slight spice. Flavor and body are fuller than I expected from the smell with notes of bourbon, chocolate, coffee, and burnt toast. Medium bodied, well carbonated.

A nice, coffee flavored stout. Brewed in bourbon barrels and a little more alcohol flavored then I prefer. A nice beer to sip.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thin black pour, fizzy tan head that dissipates quickly. Nose is coffee, barrel, and an underlying funk. Definitely anticipate some sourness from the nose. Taste is coffee, bitter chocolate, barrel, very light touch of bourbon, and some funk. Light lasting tartness in the finish. Like other CW BA stuff Iíve had, very thin mouthfeel. Had this before and definitely never noticed any sourness, so Iím assuming itís this bottle. But it actually added a nice touch of complexity.

Thanks to MarkMcChi for this bonus. Deep black pour with a dark beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, roasted coffee, bourbon. taste is coffee, roasted malt, creamy. So smooth to the pallate. This is one beer I have wanted to try for some time. Worth the wait and I hope I get more soon. Nice lacing and the beer clings to the glass.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Opaque Mahoganny with small ífizzyí tan head which oozes from the center - some lasting, drippy lace. Aroma is boozy, bourbon, oak, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Medium body but sort of íthiní, sweet, oaky, boozy, slight alcohol burn, roasty chocolate/coffee in finale. Flavor of roasted malt, vanilla, oak, bourbon, bittersweet chocolate, mild coffee. Would like a fuller body and more coffee character - will rate again after aging

Bottle. Pour is dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma and flavor are bourbon forward with loads of vanilla and barrel. Also some hints of roasted malt and burnt sugar. Not much coffee to speak of. I think this is a new bottle but I just donít get much coffee. Bourbon is on showcase here.

Aroma of java. Creamy palate that pours black with some mocha head and some lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate. Taste has some bitterness. Alcohol well-hidden. Really great stuff. Bottle thanks to Tomthompson.
