Third of the pilot batch series, on draught during Central Waters 14th Anniversary Party in Amherst, WI. Pours a semi-hazy golden amber colored IPA with a creamy beige head that slowly dissipates to a white ring and some spotty lacing. Aroma of tangerine and grapefruit zest, some caramel malt, light pine, and a touch of clove. Taste is medium bodied, soft carbonation with flavors of grapefruit, light tangerine a hint of white pepper and some pine. Finish has a bold bitterness that slowly disappears. Favorite of the three pilot batches. Reminds me of the bitterness I like in Black IPAs without the toasted dark malt backbone flavor.
