COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This smooth, creamy stout and a crackling fireplace are the perfect answer to a wintry evening in Wisconsin. The rich coffee flavor compliments the "warm, fuzzy feeling" you get from the abundant alcohol. Formerly a winter seasonal, named Satin Solstice.

This was at Festival Foods in east Appleton, in the case. I thought to myself, they’re definitely talking winter solstice, but I’d better pick it up anyway because I can store an Impy and see what it’s like come February when it’s actually more appropriate to drink this style. 5 minutes after I get home I crack one open :) Rich aroma of coffee, cocoa, a little nuttiness. Flavor is strong, with a lot of different tastes running around. It’s busy but good, and the presence of alcohol taste (bourbon maybe?) reminds me not to drink them all in one sitting. And so the other 5 go into storage till winter.

Pours very dark brown , good brown head . Smell is roasted malts, coffee . bit of oats . Taste is intense roasted malts , in all its prime . Oats, coffee , bitter chocolate in hints . Aromatic dark malts, roastyness . Simple ( In the meaning of no extra tricks , no barrel , no additives ) Yet very damn good . Which is super impressive to me . Personally , I’d like a way thicker mouthfeel , but tastewise it is spot on

12 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Black with thin tan head. Big coffee on the aroma right off the bat along with some chocolate, caramel, subtle dark fruit. Tastes of dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, roasty notes, hint of dark fruit. Full body with a dry finish. Tasty.

Bottle. Deep brown with a dark head. Dark plum and raisin with dark malts and some boozy heat. Bitter and thin with a metallic aftertaste.

12 oz bottle poured into a snifter..dark with a thin tan head..aroma of coffee,roasted nuts,malts..dry,malty..not an imperial stout..the name is definitely misleading..underwhelming.
