This smooth, creamy stout and a crackling fireplace are the perfect answer to a wintry evening in Wisconsin. The rich coffee flavor compliments the "warm, fuzzy feeling" you get from the abundant alcohol. Formerly a winter seasonal, named Satin Solstice.

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2013 Good aroma of caramel and toasted coffee, almost a bit burnt. Pretty good sweet taste. A bit thinner than expected, and a small head. Boozy.

Pour is a near black with a small tan head. Aroma is a roasted near a char malt with a little bakers chocolate. Flavor is almost and intense burnt malt with a fresh earthiness to it. Finish is bitter and earthy. If you like you porters with a almost burnt aspect this is for you. It’s worth a sample to check out what they did with the malts here.

Nose is baking cocoa, earth. Flavor is same plus caramel, toffee, burnt sugar, ash/smoke, flashes of bitterness. Silty/chalky mouthfeel.

Poured from bottle with approx 1in of thick caramel head. Notes of coffee, chocolate, oats, and toast. Poured dark brown, chocolate to coffee color with good carbonation. This beer tasted like it smelled with chocolate and coffee notes leading to a toasty oaked finish, a very pleasing beer.

Pours a dark black. Thick dark-brown head. Nose is chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is somewhat bitter. Slightly dry finish. Medium carbonation. Good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours very dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma of malt and coffee. Taste is similar: rich and dark taste of coffee in a good stout. Not as complex as some, but still a solid thumbs up.

Compared to other imperial stouts, it's okay but not great. Good chocolate flavors, for once not overpowered by coffee. A bit thin feeling for an imp stout, but some might reckon that's a good thing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared at chriso’s post-GBBF shindig 2014 - London. Pours deep brown with a foamy, tan head. Dusty chocolate abounds in this one, coloured by notes of earthy bitterness, dark sugars. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with cheap-tasting chocolate. So so.

Dark body, creamy off-white head. Had some elements of an Irish dry stout, though sweeter and the body was certainly more lively than, say, a Guinness, though I was reminded of that beer in some ways.
