COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This smooth, creamy stout and a crackling fireplace are the perfect answer to a wintry evening in Wisconsin. The rich coffee flavor compliments the "warm, fuzzy feeling" you get from the abundant alcohol. Formerly a winter seasonal, named Satin Solstice.

A decent enough stout, but I've definitely had better. Was a little thin and one dimensional. Good not great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle purchased at John’s Grocery and poured into a snifter at home. Black appearance with a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark fruits, licorice, molasses, chocolate, caramel, and earthy hops. Similar flavor, strong, dark and rich, medium sweetness, mild bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation, kind of dry with a light bitter finish.

first offering from central waters, this is a solid brew it doesnt have the thick rich body stouts normally do but it still has a roasty/ slightly chocolate taste in many stouts. it is quite insanely drinkable and would not be too hard to take down a 6 pack despite its 7.5%abv

12 oz. bottle. Not bad as a beer in general, but not a good imperial stout at all. Weak for even a standard stout, much less imperial. Generic weak roasted aroma and flavor, with little to distinguish it from any other stout. No discernible bitterness or hops, no specific malty notes, just nothing. Generic and not worth purchasing.

On tap at The Chicago Beer Festival 2014. Pour is black with a small tan head. Aroma of faint cocoa and roasted malts. Flavor is similar - coffee roast, light chocolate, peat. Finish and mouth-feel are thin and creamy.

Pours chocolate brown, opaque. Not much head. Aroma is hickory wood, coffee, chocolate. Texture is a bit oily, dry finish. Maybe a bit more carbonation than a stout should have. Medium bitter.

Pours deep brown, almost black. Little head. Strong aroma of molasses with hints of coffee. Taste is bitter coffee and smoke. Palate is bit oily and astringent, and it’s a bit overcarbonated.

Slick black pour with a 1 finger, creamy to soapy tan head, that has great retention and leaves decent lacing. Aroma of big grainy roast, nutty notes, toast, caramel, a little toffee and hints of chocolate and light roast coffee. Flavor is again, big on grain roast up front, toasted oats, then some roasted nuts, a little campfire char, smoky dark chocolate, earthy grain, nice light roast coffee notes and a light minerality that crisps it up for the finish. Medium body, creamy, slightly goopy (oats, maybe?) entry, leading to a cream, slightly chalky middle, light to medium carbonation and off dry, sort of floury, chalky finish. Really tasty stuff overall, I really like the nice, grainy flavors, leading into the expanded roasty notes. Quite a nice depth for a 7.5% Impy Stout

From bottle. Pours deep black with medium tan head. Coffee vanilla dark chocolate aromas. Very creamy/smooth mouthfeel with lots of dark milky espresso flavors and not too strong of bitterness. A little lighter bodies than u expected from the looks. Almost no burn. This one is dangerously easy drinking. Great balance of flavor and truly represents an imperial stout NOT on steroids. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
