2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Clear orange-amber with large bubbles; looks like soda. Aroma of jasmine with a hint of caramel. There is something odd in the taste; it is a combination of mineral and rose-water, with hints of mango. Watery palate leaves a mineraly coating on the tongue. Not necessarily bad, but a bit unusual.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Murky orange amber. Not much of an aroma. Maybe a little malt. Ok body but flat. Not a lot of flavor. Nothing to see here.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dirty amber color with a large frothy, dense off-white head, fairly lasting with thick lace. Pleasant light aroma, sweet, malty, fruity, grain, hay. Body is light but not thin. Finish is dry. Mild bitterness and light sweetness. Flavor is toasty grains, little earthy hops, light caramel. One is enough.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tasted from a bottle at a tasting some time in mid-2012. Pours clear bright orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to a thin collar of lace. The nose is super light cereal malt with a touch of bittersweet orange peel. The flavor is the same light cereal malt, bittersweet orange peel, and a strange creamed corn note. The body is light with lively carbonation and a medium creamy cereal malt finish.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Malty but full flavored. Refreshing, crowd pleaser. It’s awesome that they’ve crammed this into a session ale

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour from a bottle. Clear amber with a small foamy white head than disappears quickly but sticks to the glass. Aroma is light roasted malt, caramel, brown sugar and definite raisins. Taste is sweet caramel, raisins, fig, bread dough, some lemon but little acidity, slight dry yeast as it finishes. A little watery, but smooth carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear medium amber color. Doesn’t have much of a head but does leave a nice layer of lacing on the top. Not too strong of a scent with a little wheat and sweet malts. Has a nice taste to it but it’s rather weak compared to most other Central Waters Brews. Has some taste of roasted malts, a little nutty flavor, and a little hoppy spice to it. Can definitely tell this is a summer brew. Not terrible by any means but could use a little improvement in the texture and taste category.

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The other raters of Shine On don’t know what they’re talking about. While Amber in color, this is a ’green’ beer in the sense of being made from sustainable materials. I can honestly say that has absolutely nothing to do with my rating. This is a true session micro brew. This beer has successfully taken the place of typical mass produced domestics for me, but by no means is Shine On typical. Amber in color and a bit caramel in aroma, this beer finishes clean, crisp, and smooth. I taste a tad bit of subtle orange peel mixed with barley, but the malt really drives this beer home. This is not a beer for the hop lover. The ABV is just right to where a 6 pack is perfect.
