Thanks to Owen for the beer Jet black pour and black in glass, motor oil color and thickness. Light brown head that falls away to nothing. Nose is amazing. Coconut, vanilla, caramel, chocolate fudge, dark fruits, coco powder. Very well balanced. Taste is reflective of the nose. More vanilla and caramel, less coconut and more wood. Chocolate, chocolate fudge and dark fruits. Low carbonation, full bodied, well hidden ABV. Amazing sipper.

Bottle thanks to Bursprak/Aaron. Pours a pitch black with a creamy, brown head. Aroma has big big bourbon notes, vanilla, oak, caramel, sweet toffee, dark dried fruits, slight roast, but not much. Some coconut as well. Taste is sweet vanilla, bourbon, some dry oak that balances all this sweetness nicely. Really really good!! Fat body and low carbonation.

Black pour with a small head and good lacing. Big whisky/toffee and vanilla aroma. Big whisky up front, huge oak, vanilla, toffee, lighter corn notes not detracting from this. Roastd malt, honey, graham cracker. Thick full body. Excellente, as the kids say. Drink just a hair below room temperature.

Bottle, shared at a tasting last month. Thanks to mcberko for sending this my way. Appearance: dark brown. Khaki brown head. Aroma: vanilla, oak, graham cracker, whiskey, marshmallow. Taste: moderately sweet, roast finish. Lovely lingering lasting finish -- best part of this is the residual flavor in the mouth. Lots of caramel, vanilla, some heat. Definitely on the sweet side for an impy stout. Nutty; chocolate; caramel; even some raisin. Palate: full body, oily slick texture. Lasting mouth-coating stickiness. Overall: really pretty solid.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a mocha tan head. Molasses, dark chocolate, bourbon, and roast in the nose. Heavy nouthfeel. Very smooth. Starts with a nice balanced sweetness and then transitions to some bourbon notes, tobacco, leather, and dark chocolate bitterness. Very nicely done. Opened nicely as it warmed.

bottle pour. less viscous than i was hoping, very deep bourbon flavor that slightly overpowered the stout. very good stout nonetheless and worth having again.

The taste is sweet and has a dry feeling to it. Lots of toffee, very weak coffee, chocolate, weak roast, dry wood, sweet bourbon, vanilla, dark dried fruits and nice oaky notes. a freaking amazing bourbon barrel aged imperial stout!
