Bottle from Austin - thanks. Pours dark brown with a mocha head. Nose is huge chocolate sweetness, with malt, toffee, oak. Flavor is vanilla, chocolate, malt, toffee, light coffee. Slightly more watery mouthfeel than I was expecting. Had a few sips that reminded me of Peruvian Morning. Really good.

Aroma is full of wood. Tannin smelling. Light chocolate. Tate is initially bitter with lots of wood. Lots and lots of alcohol warning. This tastes and feels more like a 15%

Bottle @ home from trade with mista. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized dark brown head. Aroma is lovely: deep malts, deep bourbon, roasted malts, lightly a touch of alcohol, wood, slightly liquorice, a hint of vanilla. Taste malts, light to moderately roasty, wood, bourbon strongly, vanilla, a slight hint of sweetish chocolate, moderately bitter, some liquorice. Oily texture, medium to full body, soft carbonation. Very nice!

(65 cl bottle courtesy of my beer saint Ryan, thanks a bunch! No visible BBD and I don’t think I would have cared much about it anyway) Bottle opens with a muted fizzle. Initial aroma coming from the bottle is bourbony. Served at 45 degrees fahrenheit. Poured into burgundy glass. Body appears black with a dark golden brown hue. Little head formation. Some specks of tan head floating in the middle as well as a ring at the edges of the glass. I swirl. Head regenerates somewhat leaving specks of lace around the sides of the glass. They slide back down into the glass. There’s a bigger island of toffee head in the middle of the glass. Doesn’t take long for it to emulate Atlantis though leaving behind nothing but a Nazar-eye shaped formation. In short: Weak regeneration and some fleeting lace. Aroma has notes of bourbon and a little oak with complimentary hints of coconut, vanilla and sherry. Rather fluid impression on the palate - definitely more olive oil than crude. Very soft carbonation. Body is medium heavy and there is some sweetness, which is however kept in check well by alcohol and some bitterness. Quite a sippable palate. Finish is definitely warming with flavour notes that embody bourbon, roasted malt and some sweetness. Quite good and definitely holding its own relative to the Parabola that I tried a few weeks ago thanks to the same gentleman as mentioned in the above. I raise my glass to you, sir! Girlfriend says: "It’s good. It’s very concentrated in taste."

Bottle shared by Ryan. Really quite delicious. Brown-black body. Beige head fades away after a few minutes. Rich and sweet, big brown sugar notes. Mollasses. Malt syrup.

Pour at Happy Gnome beer dinner; black with a khaki head; aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malt, bourbon, and wood; taste is roasted malt, bourbon, vanilla, oak, toffee, light fruitiness, dark chocolate and light alcohol; has a dry bitter finish; very nice imperial stout; best beer of the night

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out huge bourbon barrels above anything, with light roast, but the bourbon totally dominates. Flavour is decadent and complex, with huge bourbon barrels that totally dominate, followed by dark fruits (raisins), and alcohol. The bourbon is huge on this, leaving little else other than the raisins and alcohol.

Clear dark brown beer, small beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: cocoa powder, dark chocolate, toasted coconut, roast, bit dusty. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of coffee, bit sourish, sugary, alcohol, little bitter, dried fruits. Aftertaste: bit hoppy, cocoa powder, bourbon, little bitter.

Bomber. Pours a dark brown color with a tiny white head. A huge malty nose, almost like a dark lager with light bourbon. The flavor is awesome: huge bourbon, vanilla, oak, sugary sweet fruit. Again, not too much like a stout, I’d believe that this could be a barley wine. Huge sweet toffee and bourbon. Very good. Mellow despite being hot and big.
