Bottle from Austin - thanks. Pours dark brown with a mocha head. Nose is huge chocolate sweetness, with malt, toffee, oak. Flavor is vanilla, chocolate, malt, toffee, light coffee. Slightly more watery mouthfeel than I was expecting. Had a few sips that reminded me of Peruvian Morning. Really good.

Bottle; Pour is murky brown with a modest, fine bubbled khaki head into this snifter. It leads to a light haze, ringing the glass nicely - the ring retains well here. There’s some light spotting presence. The nose is cacoa nibs , moving to dark fruits, bourbon barrel presence is quite nice. Caramel and brown sugar moves to feint booze. This is.... what I’ve always wanted out of the run of the mill central waters releases. The robust version that I felt was possible is here. The flavor profile is initial cream, bourbon barrel, dark fruits, brown sugar, moving to some bittering hop presence, with more cacoa nibs and caramel - It’s silky, there’s feint vanilla, but the barrel treatment masks the abv well here. What a terrific treat.

Thanks hopscotch: Was worried that this would be a bourbon bomb and while you do indeed get plenty of barrel notes there is a lovely aged character that I like. Good chocolate covered walnut and dark bread too. Aggressive brash mouth feel that is not too heavy nor rich but just right tonight. Perhaps the best stout I ever had from the land of cheese heads.

At my place with friends thanks to TXBadger. Pours black with thin head. Aroma is fantastic complex roasted malts, complex bourbon, rich and smooth. Taste is delicious chocolate malt goodness, complex bourbon that is perfectly crafted. This stuff is the shit.

Pours black like oil with khaki colored head. Dark chocolate, bourbon, oak, roasted malt, and caramel notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with more dark chocolate notes, very complex, very good. Great imperial stout.

650ml bottle. Hah finally got to try this sucker. Dark pour, huge barrel notes of bourbon and oak in the nose along with sweet chocolate. Flavor is similiar, lower bodied for a stout but nice.

Bottle (22 oz). From Evan, thanks! Black with a small brown head and little lacing and long alcohol legs. Aroma is of roasted malt, light fruitiness, moderate bourbon presence, vanilla, oak and dark chocolate. Taste is rich with roasted malt, bourbon, vanilla, oak, toffee, light fruitiness, dark chocolate and light alcohol warming. Full bodied. Low/moderate carbonation. Lingering chocolate/spices (light) finish. Very good balance. Rich, complex and tasty. The bourbon isn’t overwhelming. Very good!

Bottle @ Steve’s house. Thanks to readbaron for sending. Pours a dark orangish brown appearance with a thin brown head. Smells like German chocolate cake, coconut, and caramel. Very dessert like but delicious aroma. Kind of gooey flavor but not that overly syrupy. Flavor is delicious. Lots of coconut, vanilla, dark chocolate, and whiskey. This is fucken fantastic.
