Bottle. Aroma of malt, bread and caramel. Dark brown colour with light brown head. Sweet malt flavour, but not too sweet. Also some caramel, but mot overwhelmingly sweet as many other "hvidtøl".

0.33 bottle. The aroma consists primarily of red wine mixed with very dark chocolate and secondary a delicate coffee scent. Subtle haze is the main feature of this cola-colored liquid, which when poured into a glass, creates a short, creamy and beige head. Definitely sweet taste with a just fine doze of bitterness. Due to the use of dark, barley malt one can easily identify coffee and chocolate as it’s main flavors. The body is between medium and light with an indication to the latter. Thin, lightly creamy texture distinguishable due to softness and low carbonation. Sweet, medium long finish leaving a malty and nutty aftertaste. A beer definitely worth recommending, although it may not be thick enough for some, it makes a great beverage for these long afternoons in an armchair with a good book.

NosirIwont (1586) - Aalborg Vestby, DENMARK - SEP 10, 2011
Bottle. Pours a deep chestnut brown with a small, diminishing beige head. Sweet, malty aroma with notes of molasses and bread. Flavour is bread with molasses and a distinct cardboard note. Mildly bitter finish which matches the sweetness well. Lingering slightly tart note. One of the better hvidtøls. 10.09.11.

Rating #629, bottle from Bilka

Black with a red hue, relatively fast dissapearing head. Aroma is sugar, roasted, spices , bread, a bit liquorice - actually quite complex. Flavor is sugar, bread, a bit roasted, a bit hops, maybe a touch of very sweet liqourice. A soft and thick beer. I like hvidtøl in general, but this is better than most. Childhood memories; great for kids.

(on bottle) Dark brown, light beige head. This beer contains the to factors for a good hvidtøl. Hints of smoke and and muscovado. Together with the waterish mouth and refreshing feel, this is a good example of the style.

Brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of sugar, caramel and cardboard. Sugary sweet caramel and molases flavour with a hint of butter. Tastes unclean, and overall, not a very good hvidtøl
