2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20Bottle. Head was creamy like with a off-white colour that was quickly goon. Slight lacing in glass. Colour was dark brown. Aroma was heavy malt with notes of berries, roasted malt, butter, brown sugar and caramel. No hops to detected in nose or mouth. Light to medium bodied with a slightly sticky texture and a flat carbonation. Heavy sweet with not bitterness to balanced it. Overly sweet finish. Like Theis says, it reminds me of the Danish style called “Hvidtøl”.

Bottle @ Super Best, Odense. Pours dark amber with a small off white head. Sweet nose with rye, bread, sugar, syrup and metal. Flavor likewise. A bit thin. Drain . .

Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are rich malt and candy sugar, but not too sweet.

Black with a brown head. Malty aroma: caramel and brown sugar. Very sweet malty flavours and almost no bitterness. Refreshing, though.

Pours clear deep brown with a small, creamy, cappucino head. Sweet aroma, some roasted notes, rye bread and quite a lots of toasted caramel. Medium carbonation, thin mouthfeel. Flavour is sickenly sweet, caramel, metallic, sugars. Yuk!

Very sweet aroma of molasses and caramel with notes of rye bread.
Sweet flavour of molasses, caramel and rye bread with notes of dried fruits and hops.
Sweet finish.
A bit watery.

bottle. Dark red brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malt, sugar, toffee. Flavour is sweet, malt, sugar, toffee. Very sugary beer.

Bottle. A dark brown beverage with a ruby touch, topped by a small, beige head. Malty-sweet nose with toffee, molasses, some dried fruits and hints of red wine. Too sweet on the palate, quite sticky and full-bodied with flavors of dark sugars, molassess, prunes and dried dades. Long sweet finish with some dried fruits and molasses. Maybe a touch of bitterness in the far back. It probably has it’s use, but I can’t see what it is. Still, it’s a flavorful one, but almost sickingly sweet. (081213)
