Jeppe (2633) - Ølbutikken, - MAY 18, 2004
Sampled from draught at Danish Beer Festival 2004 (#20).
Very light yellow beer with a small disappearing white head. Aroma is very weak, I only sense a little bit of hop. The flavor is malty but very thin and not very bitter. A boring and uninteresting beer and where the hell is the Amarillo?

Light yellow beer with little head. Weak hops aroma. Clean, weak flavour, completely unremarkable beer.

joergen (14985) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 31, 2004
Yellow beer with a small white head. Aroma of corn and hops. Strange sour taste with a slight bitterness in the end. I wonder why it’s called royal amarillo, there is no sense of amarillo hops in this beer. Just another plain and boring beer from Ceres.

Golden color with a white head. The taste is clean slight pilsner with slight grassy notes in the finish.

Ungstrup (23961) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 21, 2004
This beer is light yellow and it has no head. The aroma is of citrus and hops. The flavor is fresh with hints of honey and hops before a sweet end sets in - yes, the opposite way around than You’d expect. The body is thin. I wonder what happened to the Amarillo hops?

[Draught] I cannot find much hops in this one. It tastes more of corn. Very thin and boring.

rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2004
Tap, DBF 2004. Straw gold, thin white head, moderate condition. Low sweet malt in the nose, gentle grain in the mouth with justthe faintest of hints of hop. Some bitterness in the finish but not enough to warrant the name of the beer.

Draught at DBF 2004.. What a lousy beer!!! I was attracted by them Amarillo, thought i could taste some good hops... but no, there wasnt any hops in this beer. Fizzy, yellow and watery!

omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 17, 2004
Sampled draught at Dansk Ølfestival.
Pale yellow, clear small head. Sweet and mellow, corn is obvious. Watery. Supposedly this experimental beer is brewed with Amarillo hops, but it is impossible to detect any hops. Perhaps they had a picture of the hops posted in the brewery while they were brewing it? Completely lacking in character. Very low bitterness.
