Grainy aroma. Pale golden color, white head, good lace. Grainy, sweet, nasty bitterness, light, very boring. My label said Holland Type Lager. As I’m Dutch I’m ashamed people in Portugal think this is how Dutch lagers taste like and I blame Heineken.

Clear, darker-golden beer with small snowwhite head. Dull malt nose, touch of seaweed, pointing towards sulphurcompound. Toasted malts, dry, with short relief by too shy hoppy bitterness, turning to near-bitterness. Unidimensional nonetheless. Dry, light to medium body; even the CO˛ not able to remedy its lifelessness. Utterly boring.

Bottle, ’Bica velha’ , Loulé. Reddish gold with a high uneven head of foam persisting until the tulip’s drained. Candy sweet aroma with hay and slight fruit, wheat maybe. Fuller and fruitier than bog standard sardine beater, with candy, hay, corn, wheat and very slight peardrop esters that had me thinking it might even be....non-Portuguese in origin. (blind tasting). Moderate hop bitterness to finish. Decent, for what it is.

Quite nice for a low budget Spanish lager. Nothing extraordinary - hoppy and grainy taste, slightly bitter end.
