Interesting - the first Portuguese wheat beer. Dark, orange - a bit hazy color, decent creamy head. Wheat, banana, leather, caramel in the nose - not 100% in the clean form. Sourish, lemony, wheatish. Not solid, but drinkable.

Bottled. I got the impression that this might be ok, it had an intereseting nose not too disimilar to other wheat beers but unfortunatly in almost every other department it rather fell apart. I barely got much of a head, looked a murky orange colour, quite a citrusy tang but with little else of note, If I hadn’t of known better I’d have said it was past it’s best, but picked up from El Cortes Ingles Lisbon on Saturday and am sure it was in date. One experience I couldn’t wait to finish

Bottled. A bit hazy golden colour, big cramy white head. Kind of sweet fruity nose. Lemony flavour with dry finish. Some sour hints also there. Some soapy hints. Sweetish sour fruity aftertaste. Not that wheatbeerish, or maybe it’s just very different...

Bottle, 33cl. The most recent beer made in Portugal, from one of our biggest brewers: Unicer. It’s also the first portuguese wheat beer that i can remember (Unicer says it’s the type of a german wheat beer...) And it’s a nice effort! Cloudy pale orange colour with a medium head. First surprise: it really smells like a wheat beer (not as good as a Brugs White but well....). The flavour isn’t very strong. Although it tastes a little watery it has a nice refreshing yeast and citrus flavour. Not very complex but still a very good option in summer time.
