The colder the better that’s for sure. Thirst-quenching .A typical portuguese pale lager. Thin body , pale and not full of favor. Still better value than the overpriced Sagres and Superbock beers.

KeefOz (1114) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - APR 23, 2015
Tasted 12/4/15 at Mercado Provenzal, La Latina, Madrid, Spain. Poured a crystal clear amber with a one-finger white foamy head that diminished slowly to a collar and laced OK. Carbonation extremely low and fine. Aroma of sweet malt; no obvious hops. Taste light and of sweet malt with no real bitterness. Light body. Smooth, crisp and refreshing while cold. A lager rather than a pilsner. Another macro-brewed beer.

Das cervejas portuguesas não é a minha favorita, nem a mais saborosa. Mas é um paladar que só os ibéricos entendem. é nosso, não se parece com alemãs ou belgas. É o nosso sabor

Clear golden colour. Light maltiness. Reasonably light and easy to drink. Better than Super Bock.

Light golden with white head. Weak aroma and taste of malt and grain. A bit sweet and watery. Drinkable but offers nothing.

Keg at Lowlander. Pale yellow, almost a green hue, still, pretty clear, small foamy white head, full lacing. Aroma is light musty lager. Body is light, slightly foamy, low-ish carbonation. Taste is light and watery, biscuity malts, soft bitterness. Really drinkable due to a lack of flavour - quaffed a fair bit of this.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 1B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L2623741. AROMA: slight sweet malt aroma with grainy and rice notes. no hop aromas. APPEARANCE: pale gold color and translucent. thin white head with low retention. TASTE: dilluted malt/grainy flavour with a sweet note. no hop flavour and medium-low bitterness that lingers into a semi-dry finish. PALATE: thin body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: na average pale lager.

Bottle 20cl. Supermarket in Tavira. Clear pale golden, small white frothy head, disappears quickly, hardly any lacing; sweet malty nose, bready, corn, cardboard; taste moderate sweet, light bitter; light to medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; finish moderate sweet, light bitter, bit watery.
