(bottle, 33cl) Clear, ruby amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet malty nose with hints of caramel and glue. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Solid malty body with notes of caramel, a tinge of bread crusts and a light alcoholic touch; malty finish with a late arriving and a bit harsh bitterness. Just a bit better as the Abadia Gold. 19.VI.10

Pours a medium brown. Aromas of wheat bread, caramel, and a touch of something metallic. Flavor is malty/metallic without a lot of character.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, pale amber beer with a thin layer of off-white bubbles. Weak nose with caramel malts and some fruityness. The flavor has a nice bitterness, well, nice compared to the rest of the beers attributes. There’s nothing super about this one, hardly bock-ish either. 110813

Beautiful amber colour with an off white head that doesn’t last very long. Aroma is sweet and weak almost like vinegar. Taste is also very sweet but with a strage fruity taste. I don’t really like this one, nice bottle but that’s about its high point.

Lovely ruby color. Sweet malt, a little burned sugar. Sweet finish, but there are some hops in the mix, too. Better than most Portugese beers. Prunes, raisins, nuts.
