Bottle in Lisbon. The most lively of the Super Bock line that i tried, a bit of a better hop aroma and a cleaner mouthfeel. Sweet malt and some caramel, actual legit bitter finish.

Bottle 33cl. Reddish beer without head. Aroma to brown sugar, caramel vinous. Taste to sweet caramel. medium body, too much carbonation from my point of view in this style. Really I don’t know why this beer it is classified as Abbey style.

Quite common bottle in Portugal. Caramel and toast aroma and nice color. But maybe too sweet for my taste.

0.33l bottle. Pours a light unfiltered nutty-brown body with a near non existing sidesticking off-white head. Aroma is burned rubber, dark malts, kinda lagerish and bit boring. Average carbonation and has a oily mouthfeeling. Tastes sweet with some caramel, dark malts, nuts and more of that burned rubber first located in the aroma. Drinkable but not my definition of a super bock..

I got the bottle from a good Portuguese guy, Pedro. Nice amber color, with a generous, compact head. The aroma is cheap, with corn and paper. The body strength is correct; the flavor is mild, some caramel, maybe stale, with a very light fruity shade; the bitterness is very subdued. In the end there is a light alcohol perception too. In the heat of Portugal I would probably still prefer a Pilsner.

Clear amber of colour with an offwhite head. An aroma of malt, sweets, apples and fruity. A flavour of sweets, caramel and sweet apples.
