COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Ingredients: Pale, Caramel, and Chocolate malt; Sugar; Colour -E150C; Hops.
Launched in 2003.
"Super Bock Stout is a black beer, produced from special malts which give it a distinct flavour and aroma, and a long-lasting creamy head. It differs from the other black beers on the market because it is richer in extract, more full-bodied and with a more complex (almost fruity), not-so-roasted taste and aroma."

Tasted 28/3/15. BB 12.2015. Poured a very dark almost black colour with a tan foamy head that diminished quickly (almost instantaneously) and did not lace. Carbonation low and fine. Aroma bland/nothing. Taste of sweet caramel with a very slight bitterness. Light body, too light for a stout. Smooth, soft, bland, easy to drink. Rated poorly as not a stout (if sold as a schwartzbier then would rate higher).

0,3l Flasche. Schwarzes Bier mit cremiger beiger Schaumkrone. Riecht nach Röstmalzen. Genauso schmeckt es auch, wenig Kohlensäure - Angenehm.

A decent drink. Still far superior to the macro lagers of Portugal. Fairly rich and creamy texture with only a light carbonation. It’s more sweet than bitter though and the Sagres Preta is preferred to this one.

Not a stout nor a schwarzbier. Closer to kind of cola drink. Sweet caramel and fruity aroma. Sweet taste. Thats it. Far away roasted malt on finish.

33cl bottle from Kaubamaja, Tallinn. Pours pretty much black with a rather small, beige head. Moderate roasty aroma with chocolate, dark fruits and caramel. Medium sweet with mild, but quite pleasant flavours and a fairly light bitterness. Did enjoy it more in Portugal some ten years ago, but it’s still a fairly beer and still one of the best I’ve tried from Portugal.

Bottle. Dark body, medium tan head. Aroma has old coffee and some leather. Fizzy mouthfeel. Sweet roasty taste with some dark malts. This is so fizzy that it’s hard to pinpoint the flavours here - it could very well be some sort of Pepsi or Cola drink. I can detect some powdery cocoa in the finish if I try hard. Interesting choice of brand name here - when I think of the name "Super Bock" I can picture a bunch of old hobos sipping a 12% malt likka on a hot summer’s day...but definitely not a Schwarzbier from Portugal.
