COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Ingredients: Pale, Caramel, and Chocolate malt; Sugar; Colour -E150C; Hops.
Launched in 2003.
"Super Bock Stout is a black beer, produced from special malts which give it a distinct flavour and aroma, and a long-lasting creamy head. It differs from the other black beers on the market because it is richer in extract, more full-bodied and with a more complex (almost fruity), not-so-roasted taste and aroma."

Bottle. Aromas are very sweet and malty - lots of sugar. Chocolate and Ovaltine with some roast character. Flavours are sweet chocolate and coffee malts. Malty, yet sweet and somewhat thin. Some cola character. Pretty average.

Near black colour, thin head; roast, metal, burnt and cream aroma; sweetish taste with roast, cream and liquorice aromas; bitterish finish with cream and burnt aromas. Not such a bad try at a stout for a mega lager brewery. Has a pleasant roastiness.

Bottled. A black beer with a thin long-lasting off-white head and a touch of lacing. The aroma is thin; with alittle light roast a touch of milk and a touch of smoke permeating through the wateriness. The taste is a little lactic, with a touch of roast and a smooth fruitiness. A reasonable stout but nothing special.

A dark red-brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet and rather dusty. The flavor is very sweet wtih strong notes of caramel, but also licorice, leading to a dry roasted and bitter end. Thanks to Kim for dragging this back from Portugal and to Jacob for sharing.

Smooth, mild-mannered Portuguese stout. This would make a nice intro to stout for drinkers who think they’re too bitter and aggressive (er, stout, not the drinkers). This has nice balance - not too sweet, not too bitter. It looks good, but the brewer adds a colourant, so that’s scarcely surprising. It’s a deep stout brown with a 1cm tan head that laced but receded a bit quickly for the style. The aroma showed dry bitter chocolate and coffee liqueur. Fairly fizzy in the mouth, softening to a mild creamy finish. Bit overcarbonated. Flavourwise, it’s at the milder end of the stout scale. Sweet and malty, with faint chocolate and vanilla notes. Could use a bit more bitterness in the finish, but overall this is very drinkable. (33cl bottle, IBS, Perth)

Bottle, 33cl. Very beautiful combination between the label and the bottle. Dark brown colour with a fine beige head. Roasted malt aroma with hints of coffee and chocolate. Flavour is again coffee and caramel. This is not my favorite type of beer but i must say this stout is a decent effort by Unicer.
