2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at a Portugese restaurant in Brussels.
Very dark, almost black.
Sweet, milk, caramel, toffee. Not much of a body. They should work more on this!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Black as a wizards sleeve but not as filled with tricks. Bit lacking of anything really interesting. Not terrible, drinkable but about as memorable as an erm thing. Bastards at my local bottle shop put it with the lovely hardcore strong stouts which fooled me into buying it. Childrens drink.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From bottle. Almost black with a red glare and a beige head. Sweet caramel aroma with hints of chocolate. Mild roast, milky flavours, some caramel. A bit thin. More like a milk stout.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Draft in Portugal, pours dark black with a thin white head, aroma is malty, taste was sour and malty. Could have been a dirty line or old keg I suppose but this was pretty nasty stuff.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Very dark-ruby coloured, stable mid-sized creamy tanned head. Sweetish dark- and toast-malty nose with some fruity overtones. Light to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied. Light sourish-fruity finish with a bitter touch in the aftertaste. O.K., not really exciting.............

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
(33cl bottle) Clear, opague colour with a medium-sized beige foamy head. Discreet aroma: slightly sweet and roasty malty nose with light notes of chocolate and caramel. Sweet and slightly sourish flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Earthy dark and roasted malt-character with a touch of chocolate and very subtle fruity notes; moderately dry and roast-bitter finish with shades of toffee and chocolate. Lacks depth, but is otherwise drinkable (21.XI.08).

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
I had this in the Airport in Lisbon, Portugal and was expecting a low end local beer. This beer has almost a fruit flavor but with a lot more going on. The head is medium but stays around for a long time as you drink it. I was pleasantly surprised, but still not on the high end of a stout. Definitely worth a try.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
As one could expect, it has absolutely nothing in common with stout beers. Howver, albeit watery, its definitely an enjoyable dunkel with cool roasted notes and coffee-like, creamy finsh. Nice surprise in Portugal.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle (330ml). Courtesy of ImperialJohn. Thick oily-looking black pour, large fluffy lasting tan head, nice drapes of thin lace. Light aroma, but deep roasted malt, very lactic and sweet. Incredibly thin taste, sweet and syrupy, definite metal and a wan finish - light body, still, sweet and slick, quick-finishing and quite a let-down.
