Launched in 2003.
"Super Bock Stout is a black beer, produced from special malts which give it a distinct flavour and aroma, and a long-lasting creamy head. It differs from the other black beers on the market because it is richer in extract, more full-bodied and with a more complex (almost fruity), not-so-roasted taste and aroma."

Deliciosa. A próxima compra será uma caixa.

(Bottled, BBE 10/2013) Dark cola brown with a small, beige, quickly fading head. Lightly roasted-malty nose with a touch of dark fruit and chocolate. Flavor is sweetish and slightly sour and salty, lightly roasted and licoricey. Almost medium body, quite soft and low CO2. A quite ok dunkel; sweet, but not cloying, with nice salty licorice notes. 5244

Mörkbrun i färgen med beige skum. Doftar mörk malt sött fruktigt och kolaaktigt, pumpernickel. Smakar mörkt bröd, lite gräs, sött, fruktigt, pumpernickel med torkad frukt. Krämig och len karaktär.

A creamy but at the same time not so heavy beer. A dark beer for the not so cold days of the portuguese winter.

A dark reddish brown beer with a thick dark brown head. In aroma, musty sweet caramel malt with light chocolate notes, so-so. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with no roastiness, colour added, faint memory of chocolate, sad. Bottle from a bistro in Castello Sao Jorge, Dec. 30 2012.

330ml bottle poured into a tulip glass. Super dark brown, almost opaque with a small mocha head. Cocoa nose, with some caramel, light roast and no hops. Sweet caramel malt flavor, with some milk chocolate, lo bitterness and faint carob. Light-med body, lacks hoppiness and excitement, but drinkable.

My last remaining beer I brought home from my holiday in Portugal earlier this year: 33cl well in date, poured @ home into a ’Gordons Gold’ thistle shaped glass. Looked very impressive: but any dark brew looks good in the glass I choose to use. Huge foaming head of tan coloured bubbles sat on top of the dark brown/ruby body. The nose and taste both have hints of chocolate and coffee: nothing strong or ’super’ about the flavours, but they are there if you sniff and sip deeply enough. Not sure it would muster as a Stout here in the UK, more a black lager really in body depth and feel. It’s just about OK, I tried it while on holiday and obviously thought it good enough to fly home with me, so it must have something about it, I just can’t find whatever that something is anymore!

Docela dobrý stout - sice mohl být trochu sušší, ale i tak na portugalské pivo výborné. Lahváč z Lisabonu.
